I just got my wonderup today...and OMG the smell...really bothers me...how do you ladies take this without gagging?? I have a hard time taking pills that have such a strong odor...any suggestions??

i thought it was pretty bad at first too. i think i got desensitized cause i don't mind it so much anymore.

yeah, you get used to it pretty quick. take them out and close the bottle as fast as you can and swallow with milk. =)

If it's anything like Natureday and both smells AND tastes minging, take it with some fruit juice or squash and pinch your nose while you swallow. Sounds crazy but it works!

You just do it. You get used to it pretty quickly. Two tablets in your hand/mouth isn't as bad as smelling the whole bottle at once. Personally, I think the smell of saw palmetto is much worse.

come to think of it....something that probably helped is the fact that i have one of those pill organizers. it's a weekly one that has detachable days so i can take it with me everywhere. that way i can always take my dose on time and i refill it weekly with all the herbs i take along with Wonderup.

i think that having the pills inside this rather than taking them straight from the bottle helps them not smell as much.

hmm i had those weekly pills container too...I guess I have to bear the smell >.<

I wouldn't recommend chewing them. I did that once and it was disgusting. I used to take WU with a massive glass of water. By the time you have finished the water you can't taste the tablets any more!!

i have to agree they stink digusting-they are hudge and hard to swallow, i don't think i could take them if i had to chew them up as well.
I take all my pills by sticking them all in my mouth at once and then guzzling down orange/apple juice as quick as i can till they all swim down my throat.

P.s-Dont leave them in your hand bag either they stink them out

They are really chalky and it got stuck in my back teeth...The taste lasted for ages and I can't even begin to explain how gross it tasted!!!!

I found the smell of Wonderup to be very herbal and natural smelling. It's not the greatest smell in the world, but certainly nothing to gag over (I have a very sensitive nose).

Perhaps because these days a lot of us are so used to everything having to have a good scent, everything is fragranced and fake now. Once you start living more naturally, you will appreciate a wider ranger of smells ( no i'm not saying bad things will smell good...but more subtle things like the smell of herbs will be fine).

V embarasing-i was on a packed out bus today sat with my mate-She kept saying she coulld smell curry-This could be possible on a packed bus,she started sniffing herself, and said it was stronger round us,
she then lent down and sniffed me, she said im not been funny but either u or your bag stinks-As i said before, i knew when i opened my bag the wonder up comes wafting out,but it wssnt even open, and to top it off a couple of women round us were discussing the smell and then lent over and started telling my mate about the smell "ew can u smell that they were saying"-after going very red we got off the bus

i did say dont put it in your bag- but i didnt think half the bus would smell them

when i was on individual herbs, i massaged with fenugreek the liquid form...and when I went to work everyone could smell it on me...it was not pleasant :D

Yeh she knows,she's 2 weeks from having her baby, and she keeps saying, i can tell you a 100% guaranteed way to grow big,bulging boobies-i said it would be the most painful and expensive boob job eva

yep, but then you would have to keep getting knocked up to keep your boobies, mine were pretty much all gone after year and half of breastfeeding

Yag! My body oozes with the pong of curry 24/7. I'm never out the shower or done spraying deodorants etc but it makes no difference, the smell is always there.

Especially embarrassing when trying on clothes in a swanky shop and the posh assistant keeps sticking her neb in to see how things are fitting. The smell seems to concentrate in enclosed areas like changing rooms. And I'm stood there like a smelly lemon saying - You will have to excuse me as I've just eaten a curry. And she's thinking - uhm at 9.30 in the morning, uhm yeah....right. She's just smelly.

Do you think the amount of Fenegreek in WU is enough to make us smell, I can't smell a curry smell of me, but does everyone that takes WU smell?

That's funny. I've only been told I smell spicy once. However I ALWAYS get people saying when I'm around that they either smell syrup, pancakes, or some type of breakfast food. Maybe it's because I'm vegan and the Wonderup mixes with my body chemistry differently? I don't know. But I guess syrup is better than curry to smell like. Hah.
