I'm new here to the forum, and want to give a cheerful "hello" to everyone here. I have lurked for a few weeks now, and am amazed at how supportive and also informative this forum is. All women (and men) should be lucky enough to have a close circle of friends, as is displayed here. I hope I can contribute some experience and insight as well.
My story is much like Michelle Choi's. I had implants put in at 22. Had them in 13 yrs, and due to horrible things happening with my implants, had them removed in 1999. Implants have a "shelf-life" of 5-10 yrs. It takes lots of money to buy "fresh" melons every 5 yrs. Silicone had started to leak slowly from my implants throughout my body. I had enormous auto-immune issues. The silicone was also so spread out throughout my chest cavity, that during surgery, I almost bled out due to the scraping and evacuating of all the silicone and the tissues it was attached to. I was in the hospital for over a week, and full recovery took months.
I'm thankful to no longer have anything foreign in my body, but of course like everyone here, beg for just healthy, plump, natural breasts. So, about 2-3 yrs ago, I started trying every conceivable method of NBE. Shamefully, I'd say I spent probably 2,000 on different routines, etc. You name it, I've tried it. Diligently too. Here's an example of what I've tried: Breast Success; Quick Breast; Evegen; Greenbush; Breast Gain Plus; Mykelco System; Breast Pumps; Nursing Mother's Tinctures; Hypnosis; and of course all the individual herbs as well. All unsuccessful.
The quest for natural boobs is a funny beast. It exploits one's discontent or similiar feelings that one has when lacking in the boob department, BUT it also bears a huge mention that one usually never gives up HOPE. I've never stop searching for "methods" and routines. I was grateful to stumble upon this forum, as I'll repeat, it's not only a great support system, but an absolute wealth of information. Kudo's to everyone here, as you've made quite an impressive "community".
Here's what my personal experience has taught me. The hormone balance is a key factor. Unfortunately, we bombard our bodies internally and externally with a constant stream of this and that, and we are tipping our hormone balance back and forth on the see-saw. I truly believe that once we accidentally get that hormone see-saw just even, we'll see results. Each and every one of us, barring a few exceptions. Diabetics have an almost complete failure rate at nbe due to their endocrine/hormone system being diseased. That being said, the method of that balance is unique to everyone.
I am a believer in Eastern ways of health(not medicine), as the methodology is in keeping and curing the system as a whole. Health is about balance. I've rambled on long enough for an intro. Below are my stats:
42 non-smoker ; social wine drinker
2 grown kids
hysterectomy (ovaries intact)
have some medical background (former flight medic and independant student of naturopath)
Once I devise my next nbe quest, I'll post my routine/stats/ etc
Its good to meet you Organic Angel, hope your next programme works well for you.
I'm in total agreement about the 'balance' factor. I personally believe most people can grow using NBE, we just need to find the right combination for our bodies (I just wish I could find the right combo for my body!!)
Ah yes....the elusive hormone balance. You can get hormone testing done via labs you find over the internet, but 1. they are pricey and 2. you would have to keep updating your results to see where your levels were after trying different things and adjusting.
I am trying to discipline myself to totally listening to my body's reactions and what feels right or doesn't feel right. I am currently in complete estrogen overload. Too much of estrogen is just as negating as too much progestin.
Here is where my latest and greatest routine will consist of. All items ordered, and I'll officially post my routine once I get all my booby goodies and start.
Bovine Ovary (from botanical beauty)
Saw Palmetto (from botanical beauty)
Gelatin (powder form from NOW foods)
Homemade boobie batter (recipe in creative works at the moment)
Massage
My problem in the past has also been, as soon as I'd learn of a new routine, add-on, etc, I'd jump on that band-wagon and add yet ANOTHER item to the mix. I'm sure this didn't help balance anything, including my checkbook. ;)
Welcome to the forum. You sure have been thru a lot with your health and trying different NBE programs. Thank you for sharing your story. I admire your dedication and not giving up. I'm currently taking BO and other supplements for NBE. We're close in age, I'm 41. I've also had a hysterectomy with ovaries intact. My sons are 17 and 16. Good luck with your new program! Success is just around the corner. Stay positive and believe it can happen for you. Keep us posted. :)
Aloha & happy bobbie growing :)

Welcome aboard!! I wanna say God Bless You for going through what you did with the implants. My heart really goes out to you and thank God you made it through okay. I know how good I feel not having foreign objects in my chest any longer, so I know you do especially having gone through all the trauma you did. I know you must have had great fear going in for surgery to have them removed since you had so many problems beforehand. I had great fear of having them removed also...the fear of not waking up or something going wrong, since I didn't have an easy time after I woke up from surgery when I had them put in years ago..so I feel very thankful now especially after hearing your story. Thank goodness we no longer have to worry about that. :) We don't realize when we're younger about the risks involved in having implants all we know is we want a quick fix. But, it really isn't, I just couldn't see myself having to go under the knife and be put to sleep every 10 or so years to have them replaced, not to mention how much I hated the fact that they were 'fake' once I was a little older. I had saline implants..which I was still worried about fungus and mold getting inside after all those years and then leaking into my body, which I read about...another reason for having them removed. But, glad you are healthy today and I too like wonderbride deeply admire your persistance and determination for trying to find something that works for you and not giving up. I do hope that bo works for you and wish you the best of luck!!! Let us know if you have any questions along the way! Take care.
I hope if nothing else, my story will disuade anyone from getting implants. Almost every celebrity has problems with them too. They just have tons of money to correct the problem, but you can still tell the fakes. I, like you, have come to despise them, and think they are soooooo obvious.
My health issues were a complete mystery for yrs leading up to my removal. After the removal, other than the horrendous recovery, my health has been optimal. Hhhhmmmmm. And they say implants aren't dangerous. Whatever!
As you saw from my intro, I've tried everything under the heading of nbe. I have to say, that I've had a slight plumping in the past couple yrs, but I emphasize slight. I've decided to cleanse my body, which I've done this past month, and once I get my "goodies", I'll commence my newest routine. I'm going with the complete hormone balance this time. I'm not going with the phytoestrogen route in the majority of the pills, because I'm convinced I've contributed to my horrible estrogen dominance by doing that. The hard part, is since I've had a hysterectomy, I never know if my ovaries are "firing" or not, and if I'm venturing into menapause. I'm pretty sure I am by all my symptoms, but my natropath suggested that the overload of boobie pills could also be shoving my hormone balance to appear that way. I'm actually going to start a homeopathic testosterone gel, for menapausal women with extreme estrogen dominance. Magic ball, magic ball, where are you?.....
I've been putting a lot of serious thought into my latest recipe of ingredients, and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I'm thinking of dowsing my recipe once done, as I've read on the beboard of many who are successful with it.
I'll keep you posted, and I'm sure I'll have questions for a "BO Pro" like yourself :)
