Okay. . .was anybody nervous about buying their herbs at a store??

I'm going to buy my herbs either this weekend or next weekend and funnily enough, the thing that has me the most nervous is the reaction of the cashier person. If it ends up being a woman, I'd bet my house that they're going to know all about the herbs I'm buying (come on, buying fenugreek, saw palmetto, black chosh, fennel, and wild yam at the same time?) and they'll smirk. Seriously, I bet every woman on this earth has researched breast enhancement. Especially one working at an herb store (I'm cynical enough to think that they got the job there only to get discounts on their booby-enhancing herbs!).

I dunno if anyone else has ever had this problem but I hate getting embarrassing things at stores. I don't like borrowing suspicious books at the library either, and I'd NEVER be able to walk into a store to buy "naughty" videos.

*sigh*

Does anyone feel the same way??? What were your experiences?

Hopefully, the cashier will be either a man, or a perfect breasted woman whose never had the motive to look this stuff up.

And I can't have them mailed home to me, because I want to hide this from my roommate.

I know someone who went into a store and particularly asked for these kind of herbs, explaining openly that they were for breast enhancement. The cashier told her there must be some terrible mistake, that Saw Palmetto was only used by men and Black Cohosh was only used by women in the menopause. She was then told by the cashier to buy a complete breast enhancement supplement instead, which the store conveniently stocked. I don't think the cashier was deliberately pushing the store's breast enhancement product, it's just that she clearly knew very little about the subject and was giving what she thought was genuine advice based on the little she did know. So I think you're wrong to assume that every woman's looked these things up. As this true story shows, the reality is that even women working in health food stores may know little about the subject.

Hey Boobies, Baby, look it, all the herbs that you are going to start taking are all used for other stuff as well. Even at best, SP could be possibly purchased for a spouse, ect. No need in feeling embarrassed by it. Hell, I just go up to the store and buy what I want and usually the shop keep tells me of a sale possibly they will be having soon. But for the most part, I purchase mine on line. But some things I simply can NOt find on line,so it's off to the store I go......

I'm not too nervous buying herbs, although I did feel odd hanging around the menopause section of the store, looking through the wild yams and soy. Truthfully though, buying NBE herbs will probably have the store employee assume that either you or a female relative/friend is going through menopause, or some sort of hormone imbalance occurred. There must be many women buying these herbs for hormone production to not have anyone bat an eyelash, or assume breast enlargement is the goal.

What a funny question! I am totally one of those who is nervous about buying stuff like that for fear of what the clerk thinks, lol. Then again, only in the last month have I heard of herbal NBE and that was only due to specific internet searches so maybe they haven't either. Not that I would even mind telling them if they asked--I just don't like being so easily figured out! So far I've purchased everything online except for my EPO.

Speaking of clerk's thoughts.....a few years back my naive 70-something grandma bought my sister a long t-shirt nightie for Christmas because she thought the pink bunny head on it was cute. Of course, she didn't know that the bunny was the Playboy logo, but I'm sure the clerk did. LOL! Would I have loved to have been a fly on the wall or what.

you know, actually i think that the great majority of people are ignorant of NBE. it seems obvious to us maybe lol but i think theres very few people who would consider these herbs to be "breast enhancing" id say 95% of people dont believe it works even if they have heard of it. and theyve probly heard of bloussant or some supplement like that. not the single herbs method. so relax i dont think theres anything to worry about :)

Hehe, I totally have to say the same as Molly. When I went to buy saw palmetto, the lady in the herb store stared at me and said it was only for men and prostate problems. I think the most the seller will think is that you buy the herbs for regulating your cycle.

Celebrities and NBE?

December 10 2006, 1:57 PM

Which brings up an interesting question....does anyone think any celebrities practice/have practiced NBE? Some of them are obviously badly done boob jobs, but some seem to get bigger and still look natural. Makes me wonder. I know that I used to think the only thing to do about increasing size was surgery (of which I am totally terrified) because who in the heck had heard of using herbs?? It just seemed way too impotent.

I had some mild anxiety when I was purchasing cocoa butter and vitamin E. It was similar to the feeling I get when buying bras. I found myself doing a 'stealthy' quick glance at what they had to offer for breast enlargement. Good thing I do honest work for a living... I wouldn't make it as a con artist, my heart would give out.

Seriously, it is very unlikely the people running the register know anything about NBE. They may think you are having 'female' problems, but that would be all they could link to your purchases. I have about a half dozen books on herbs. Some of these are very in-depth. I also have about a half dozen books on women's health issues (one even called 'The Breast Book'). Aside from one mention about saw palmeto in one herb book, there is nothing in any of these that talks about breast enlargement.

Your 'secret' is safe with you. ;)

i lucked out

December 10 2006, 5:43 PM

i found almost everything online so i didnt have to go to the store... though i was with my husband when i went on a quest for borage and epo... he was like "what the hell do you need that stuff for??" as he is not too big on supplements other than a multi-vitamin. i told him "never you mind. i do what i need to do." and he shrugged and put it in the basket...

you should just see me trying to TAKE the pills. i have a jar of bovine ovary in my lunchbag, and when its time for my pills i have to try to sneak them out, sneak five pills into my hand, and then take them without my soldier thinking i am crazy... plus two saw palmetto and a barley pill...

i agree, jelly... a fun thread this is!

I live with my parents and they don't even notice me taking pills. I have four boxes 'displayed' on my shelf right in view and they never noticed, ot if they did, they assumed it's some vitamins I'm taking. When I order herbs, I have them delivered at the post office and go pick them up. I bake my soy beans every day and they never really suspected why, I just said because they're healthy, lol.

Re: Okay. . .was anybody nervous about buying their herbs at a store??

December 10 2006, 6:36 PM

Lol. Maybe I'm just nervous because I feel guilty and I think everyone is suspicious.

Or maybe it has to do with my privacy-invading roommate. So far, I've only been listening to hypnosis tapes and massaging with cocoa butter and I've gotten almost busted with both things. About a week ago, my roomie was sorting out our dirty laundry, and then I walk in the room and this was the conversation:

Roomie: "Why do your shirts smell so weird?"

(obviously, they smelled like cocoa butter)

Me: "Why are you sniffing my laundry?"

*awkward silence*

And then, this Monday I was listening to my blaketalks CDs in bed at like eleven at night, and when the tape ended and I got out of trance, I woke up just to find my roommate standing in front of my bed, giving me a weird look. Almost put me into cardiac arrest. And then they said, "Are you listening to MAN talking??"

I don't know about you guys, but whenever I wake up to find someone standing in front of me, I have a weird feeling that they've been standing there forever.

I think I should kick this person out.

your roomate

hey that sucks, I listen to blaketalks too and would be horrified if my husband was standing there watching me while I was listening, and hes not like a roomate!! I think you should kick that person out too if you can afford it. lol. I can totally understand how you felt.

so she sniffs your laundry and she watches you sleep... interesting...

good response on the laundry. quick thinking there.

you should at least lock your door, if you live in separate rooms...

you crack me up...

oh yeah... that is a funny comment... i was totally nervous my first time. It was halirious. Even to the extent that i didn't buy everything in one shop so they couldn't tell what i was doing. HOWEVER, i think it's fairly safe to say that the average sales assistant wouldn't put 2 and 2 together as say "A -HA! SHE'S GROWING BOOBIES EH?" and then start checking out yr flat bits!

Anyway have fun shopping and fun growing

@Boobies06 - That sucks with the roommate. Unfortunately it's not very easy to hide this NBE thing. Lock the door if you can, don't worry about the roommate or what they'll think, worry about you and your NBE quest. You really should demand some privacy, you have all right, no matter if they pay half of the rent.
And don't feel guilty about NBE. Guilt = bad, refuse it.
Btw, what do you think about the blaketalks hypnosis (or anyone else listening?)? I don't really like it, the guy has a weird voice, unconvincing and he sounds forced and he doesn't speak very clearly. I was listening to a different hypnosis so far and that one had a voice much easier to listen to as well as some sounds in the background that really helped to put you in a trance.

Moon--I'm actually not sure if I've ever been in HYPNOSIS with the blaketalks. I get confused as to what to do. He says that it's okay to not really listen to what he's saying and to daydream (because supposedly your subconscience still hears what he says) but then he's like, "You sould only listen to my voice and give all your attention to it). Half the time, I fall asleep (which I don't think should be happening).

BTW--You said you had your herbs sent to the postal office. Do you have a P.O box or do they just hold it for you? Can you do that at all post offices??

geez. ur roomate sure is nosey! my husband probably wondering if all the pills are reproducing cause new ones keep appearing. becuz i buy them without him knowing. and forget about massaging! i feel like u do about The staring. like he has has been looking at of the whole time.the bus lady did ask my son if he had eaten pancake that morning because she smelled the syrup. i told her i had wiped his mouth with my shirt, so that was probably what she was smelling(fenugreek!) ugh.

i get my wonderup pills in the mail (they are very discreet packages too) and buy the rest at shoppers drug mart (so i can get shoppers optimum points!). i really don't think that the cashiers there have any idea what im up to, but im sure my roomates and co-workers wonder why i take all these pills!

i've only listened to hypnosis once, and i put it on my phone (which has an mp3 player) and listened with headphones so no one else would hear it. i turned it off though because it was freaking me out.

at my place we don't go into eachothers rooms and i couldn't imagine one of my roomates coming in and watching me sleep....you must be pretty creeped out by that! tell her to knock if she needs you! lol

@Boobies06 - I simply give to the company I'm buying from the adress as 'postal laying', or sth like that whatever is the term in English. Here posts don't have adresses cause there are only two posts in the town, so each post has its own postal/zip code, but it would be like giving your name and the adress of the post instead you own. I think it should be possible everywhere.

Cool, I guess if I ever order anything online, the post office is where they'll be sent!

PS- The reason I wanna hide this from my roommate is because she's one cup size bigger and I wanna end up being bigger than her by the end of this! (Mwahahahahahahahaha!) But yes, I think I should assert my privacy rights.

Re: Okay. . .was anybody nervous about buying their herbs at a store??

December 10 2006, 9:05 PM

ok i hope this makes sense:

my phone has a teensy little memory card used to store pictures or songs or anything.
that memory card fits into a slot thats inside a regular sized memory card.
the big card (with the little one in it) fits into my camera.
my camera plugs into the computer with a USB cord and I can open it like a folder and put things inside.
i then transfer the little memory card back into my phone.

there's prob an easier way to explain it but i dont know all the technical terms!

hope that explained it!

I just recorded the hypnosis sessions into CDs. However, I don't listen to it with headphones. I own this really neat pillow that has a cord to connect to CD players or MP3s. It plays whatever your listening to right into your ear.
