Q for Waxingmoon?

Hey girl, I just read your info you posted on taking maca powder and I was wondering if you could tell any difference in your energy levels or your body temperature, since I was thinking about taking it also? I have been doing research on hormone balancing products.

Also, I can't believe you posted a message about how you can have low body weight and have hypothyroidism, because I have believed also for years that I have a slow thyroid but doctors have told me that was not possible because of how thin I am! I have all the symptoms: low body temperature, heavy/irregular periods, feel fatigued most of the time, have cold hands and feet...ect.

How often would you recommend using progesterone while I am on the BB pills? Which days out of 1-28 of your cycle would you use it?

Thanks.

Hi Katrina,
The maca has me puzzled. I don't know if any of my improvement of symptoms can be attributed to it or just the progesterone cream. It certainly is not causeing me any problems that I can tell. I got used to the taste of it quickly and add it to my protein powder drink.

Diana is right about the timing of progesterone cream. If you are not in menopause, you take it starting on day 12 of your cycle. I made a mistake last cycle and started the progesterone on day 8. I did not ovulate that cycle and my estrogen dominance symptoms increased greatly. Apparently if you take it too soon you will prevent yourself from ovulating - and it's after ovulation that your body produces its own progesterone.
