and I plan on taking it every day next month. I think it is best to start a new herb either on day one of your cycle or mid cycle when your natural hormone shifts occur but I am not an expert.
BTW, I am very happy about how vitex is working for me.
I just received my Vitex yesterday and I'm going to start it immediately. I'm not sure if it really matters whether you start it the day of your period or during ovulation. I've done a lot of research on it and I have found nothing that says when to start it. Therefore, I'm assuming it's not really relevant. If you want to go ahead and start when you know your cycle restarts, then go ahead. I'm just impatient and I'm starting in the middle :)
I started vitex about 2 weeks ago and I grew 1/2". I stopped all other herbs and only take a multivitamin. I really do not have bad PMS so it did not help or make it worse. I did have some gas/stomach pain and I gained 3 lbs. Most of the weight gain seems to be in my upper body so jeans are still fitting the same. I just hope after AF I still have my 1/2". I will keep you updated.
It's just that, every time I do something that influences my hormones (like adding something or changing the mark of my bcp..), I gain weight and I thought maybe if I start taking vitex on the first day of my cycle I might be able to avoid that, it's just an idea. Anyway, I'm also very impatient so if mine arrive, I don't know if I'm going to be able to wait either..

I think most effect is on the long term as it is a balancing thing, but 1/2 inch in 2 weeks is great and very promising!
Congratulations on your growth, I started taking vitex about two weeks ago along with Wonderup and I was just wondering how much vitex you are taking each day, my next plan of attack if Wonderup doesn't give me the results I would like is to take Vitex by itself, would be really interested to know how you progress. HI. I ONLY TAKE ONE PILL 400MG OF VITEX A DAY. IN THE BEGINING I SEEM TO RESPOND VERY FAST TO A HERB IF IT IS GOING TO WORK. I ALSO AM PRONE TO HEADACHES, BLOATING, IRREGULAR BLEEDING IF I TAKE TOO MUCH. I HAVE BEEN AT NBE FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR. COUNTING THIS 1/2" I HAVE ONLY GAINED 1" TOTAL. MY BIGGEST BENEFIT FROM NBE IS MY BREASTS ARE FIRM AGAIN AFTER HAVING EMPTY SACKS FROM NURSING. NEXT MONTH I AM GOING TO TAKE 400MG WEEKS 1 & 2 AND BUMP IT UP TO 2 PILLS A DAY, 800MG, FOR WEEKS 3 & 4. IF I DO NOT LOSE THE THE WEIGHT I PUT ON THIS MONTH I AM GOING TO TAKE THE NEXT MONTH OFF (BIG VACATION PLANNED IN MARCH). THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE WITH VITEX IS THIS NEW GROWTH IS NOT UNCOMFORTABLE LIKE IT HAD BEEN USING HOPS & FENUGREEEK. PLUS I DO NOT SMELL AND AM NOT OVERLY MOODY. As vitex takes 2 or 3 months to start working, it seems doubtful that it caused your growth within a fortnight. Perhaps it was something else you have been taking?
I'm about to start month 3 of vitex on Sunday and am just beginning to see results now. Looking really promising as I had stalled for a while on the last programme. Have been taking 1600mg of it per day as recommended on the bottle.
Have also found too that as vitex has slowly balanced my hormones out, my libido has kicked in again. Lol, I think all the fenugreek had killed it off for a bit. It's now through the roof.........EEK! Look out santa...haha!!
Has anyone noticed major weight gain,,, more than 5 lbs,, while using Vitex??? Saw Palmetto and Fenugreek big contributors to this problem and just wondering if vitex would also do this??
I hope it causes weight loss as it balances hormones and hormonal imbalance leads to bloating and fat gain at the belly due to hormonal imbalances.
But on the other site, maybe if it leads to having more hormones it might cause weight gain?
I don't know, but I certainly don't want to gain more weight!

Growth is either due to the fact I stopped photoestrogens(had taken reservatrol that prior month) or from the vitex or a combo of both. Maybe this is because I truely had excess estrogen. Everyone is different.
