Hi Ladies,
I've been lurking quite a while, you've been helping me whether you know it or not. Thank you!
I'm trying to take a more deliberate approach to this and not change my routine every week when there's no growth! :) I've been reading through lots of your programs and see positive results from:
- Wild Yam (both internal and cream)
- progesterone cream
- Saw Palmetto
I'm currently only taking Wonderup and want to add back a progesterone booster in mid-JAN. think i had some tingles from SP a month ago (but dropped up because i think i added it too early and wanted to see what WU would do on its own. so WU only for the past month with nothing to report).
Am thinking of adding a wild yam or progesterone cream. Would it be too much to use Saw Palmetto as well? would greatly appreciate your advice please. many of you ladies have had success with SP, WY and Vitex. ack! how do you decide which one. Thank you very much.
Well it depends on your body. Do you need more progesterone or estrogen? Adding wild yam and progesterone cream would be a lot of progesterone. But then again, I'm not sure how many phytoestrogens WU has to offer, so I don't know if this would be very balancing.
I was in the same boat as you. Started WU and Saw Palmetto together, then I thought I should try giving WU a chance on its own, so I did that for about 2 months, with nothingggggggg to go on, barely not a tingle or a twitch felt the whole while. So now I'm back on Saw Palmetto, also taking ginko and cayenne for ciruculation, and I've kept doing short massages daily as well as a heat pack and all those tingles and pains are back!
So basically my experience is that saw palmetto is working for me...so far. And that I believe it is a good thing to take with WU, there are some other women here who are doing it as well.
Hi LankyLou,
I have been taking Wonderup for nearly two months now and added Vitex about a month ago and have had about an inch growth in 7 weeks. The only other thing that I do is massage 2 - 3 times a day and apply heat after last massage at night for about 10 - 15 mins. I am also finding that vitex is making my skin much clearer. Good luck with whatever you decide to use.
Thanks ladies for your quick response. you rock.
Alcest, glad to know it wasn't just me. May I ask your age please? You don't have to answer. It seems though that SP and Vitex is working for us over 30 crowd. donna, did you try SP or any other progesterone enhancer before the vitex? just wondering.
(course you could say you are 24 and blow my theory out of the water!)
I'm going back on SP tomorrow, thank you both!
I haven't tried SP as I thought I would try Wonderup by itself for a while first and didn't like the idea of weight gain that some people have with SP. I thought the Vitex was a good addition to WU because it is supposed to balance hormones and I read that it was good for acne, as I get hormonal acne each month. It was only after I started taking it for acne that I've seen some people have been excited about the effects of it for NBE, so if it helps that along as well then I'm not complaining !!!
Lanky I'm 21, heh. God the more I hear about this vitex the more i want it! I still get zits here and there, especially if I eat processed foods like white flour and stuff. In a few months i'll give vitex a go, but I don't want to mess with anything as of now since the SP and WU are working fairly well together (i.e. at least i'm getting pains).
thanks ladies. there goes that theory :)
good luck with those tingles!
i'm going back on SP because that's what i have at home. will look at the vitex if there's any stalling down the road.
thank you both and good luck! i hope to report something significant soon, so i can be of help to someone else who needs advice too!
