Yes some women here have tried it and someone even reported slight results with it. However, most of the claims made on the Vanity website are nonsense, such as the claim that 'scientists have proven that stimulating the estrogen receptors in the breast with complex phytoestrogens can actually increase the size of the female breast as much as 150%. These are facts of science'. In reality, they are not facts at all. Natural breast enhancement has never been recognised as scientifically proven.

More: 'unlike other products that are only temporary, once you achieve your goal size with Vanity you may stop taking the product'. In reality, Vanity uses similar ingredients to other products and therefore does not work differently to other products. Still more: 'we started it all. Vanity was the first breast enhancer supplement to be introduced to the market almost nine years ago'. In reality, Gro Bust was the first breast enhancement supplement on the market and Vanity has been around for about 2 years, not 9 as claimed. But what about this: 'Selmedica Healthcare is one of the most respected names in the nutraceutical world with over 50 years of experience'. In reality, the corporate registration records state that it was founded in March 2004, which is not even 3 years ago, let alone 50.

Their websites also state that it's in Tennessee, but the state of Tennessee doesn't know them, doesn't list them and hasn't licensed them to do business in the state. Still Vanity must be a great product as it apparently has 80,000 success stories of women who claim to have had their lives changed. Not to mention the 80,000 people who have lost weight with Selmedica for an average of $150 each, the 80,000 who have lost their boils for $90 each, the 64,000 women who have used their fertility product at an average of $97 a time, the 64,000 people who have used their poison ivy product at $40, the 64,000 people who have got rid of their worms at $97 a time, the 45,000 people who have used their kidney product at $75, the 150,000 people who have used their head lice product at $40, and certainly not forgetting the 100,000 men who can now summon up erections on command for $150 each. That adds up to over $200,000,000 in sales.

Impressive, huh? In fact if you add up the sales from all of their 50 websites it comes to much more than a billion dollars. With sales like that they must be an amazing success story as they state on their sites and one of the most well known business names in the whole world. However, it seems odd that they don't seem to be listed anywhere. None of the Tennessee telephone directories list them, nor does the Tennessee chamber of commerce. Even the trademark office have no record of them or the brand name 'Vanity', even though they put 'TM' after the name. Strange, huh? But although their websites state their location as Tennessee, the corporate registration records say Washington, so maybe we should be looking there instead. But then according to Washington State the corporate status of Selmedica has been revoked due to business irregularities, so I guess not.

Never mind, at least the FDA know who they are. In fact the FDA have stated that some of Selmedica's products are drugs and are being illegally marketed as they are not approved by the FDA as the law requires. Not only are they being illegally marketed but they may be unsafe. They also say that Selmedica's dietary supplements are being sold with misleading claims and they refer to a statement made regarding several of Selmedica's products that the ingredients used are recognised by the FDA as safe and effective. According to the FDA 'these statements are false and misleading and misbrand the products because they state that the ingedients contained in these products are generally recognized as safe and effective when, in fact they are not. Furthermore, they imply that FDA reviews and approves dietary supplement products and/or their ingredients. In fact, FDA does not approve dietary supplements or their ingredients'.

More from the FDA concerning a Selmedica tanning product called Canthorex and containing a chemical called Canthaxanthin: 'there is no color additive regulation currently allowing for the use Canthaxanthin to impact color to the skin or, for that matter, for the use of Canthaxanthin in a cosmetic product for any purpose, which means that under the law this product is unsafe'.

Selmedica's websites turn out to belong to 'Perry M. Belcher'. According to the Better Business Bureau his business record is 'unsatisfactory', with consumer complaints taking up to 3 years to resolve. Unlike most businesses, Perry M. Belcher and/or Selmedica are not members of the Better Business Bureau. It also turns out that Perry M. Belcher borrowed the name Vanity from a company that used to market Erdic in the US. The original Vanity was Erdic under another name. His own use of the name only dates from 2005, which contradicts his claim that his breast enhancement pills have been sold in Europe and the US for over 8 years. Maybe it was the other Vanity he was thinking of, i.e. Erdic, which actually has been sold for over 8 years.

Perry M. Belcher seems to be good at borrowing names, as he has also borrowed the name 'Lice Rx' from another company, one that has a good reputation for their own head lice product. They have reported him to the Tennessee Consumer Affairs Dept, who apparently already have a file on Perry M. Belcher.
