Has anyone tried a program that consisted mainly of these three herbs? I am starting my new program soon, after the break I am currently taking. I will also be continuing with damiana and vitex, since I now LOVE these two herbs!
I actually did those three herbs plus one more--fennel. I started by taking 3 pills of each a day, then ramping my way up gradually to 6 each per day. I only did this for about a month and a half because I went back to my university and got really tight on money. Plus the fenugreek gave me gas and also kind of "radiated" from my skin, making me smell like strong maple syrup. I didn't want to send my boyfriend running in the other direction!! Anyway, during the short time I used it, I didn't see any results, either because I didn't do it long enough or wasn't taking enough of it. But I can tell you I WAS religious about taking the pills consistantly every day. After much reasearch, I decided that the least two needed herbs were fennel and wild yam. Fennel is very much like fenugreek, just not as stinky. So I gathered that if your body responds to the fenugreek, then the fennel is kind of unnecessary. Besides, you could just eat fennel instead and supplement yourself that way. Wild yam had a more complicated story--although progesterone can be derived from wild yam, the body can not derive this progesterone on its own, rather, it can only be cultured in a lab. I know this sounds so contradictory to what we have been hearing, but for the purposes we are seeking for wild yam, it became evident to me that it was kinda pointless. But I'm no expert and am still learning things just like everyone else, so feel free to correct me if you know something I don't. But in summary, I read that as much as 3000mg of fenugreek and saw palmetto could be consumed daily, and you can see results in anywhere from a few weeks to as much as 9 months. That's all I know. I think it's a hit or miss experiment. I'd give it a try if I were you Corrie. It just might work really well!!!! Good luck let us know how it goes!!
dear corrie , have a good read of the program pages and photos have a good read of surfs page and i also took those herbs in my first programme. because on me fenugreek can put so much weight on me I use 1/2 fenugreek and 1/2 fennel and I dont feel as tired or bloat as much!I founf saw P gave me instant tingles and It was good inicially then I changed to nettle root cause I stalled and thats doing well . Its al about choice and trial and error and pacience.I also take wild yam and for me thats very important, dont forget take only a little and slowly build up till you get pains or tingles and growth good luck love jellyDeee...
Thanks! I think I'll start my new program using these three herbs. I was going to use fenugreek, saw palmetto and red clover, because that is what is recommended by the flat2fab lady, but it sounds like red clover has some problems with it. Wild yam seems to be well tolerated by just about everyone.
