Lol...sorry if this is too much information, but I have to tell someone, and since I'm porbably not going to run into any of you all on the street, and well we won't recognize each other unless we're topless anyways ;) I was walking to class the other day, and I walked by a piercing shop that I go to sometimes, and I got a new one! And I can't say where ;) But it was the craziest thing I've ever done and I feel wonderful today, not my boring old self! Ok, just thought I'd share...thanks for listening :)
i passed out right after the first one. it was funny, because i was sitting there topless and my friend was sitting behind me on the table between me and the wall (in case i fell backward... which i did!) and i just passed out after the ring was in... topless and into her arms. what a story THAT was to tell for a bit! i woke up and told the piercer to do the other one, because i would never convince myself to come back!
im done with piercings... moved to tattoos...
congrats, but take care of it... dont want sensitive spots getting infected. it is MESSY...

Good thing you had your frind there to catch you!Oh man...nipples! Ouch, that had to hurt, I hear that after yo uhave them peirced that your nipples are bigger when you take them out, either that or they're constantly hard...that's why I haven't done mine...did you have any problem with that? I definatley think that dragging yourself in is the hardest part, I though I was gong to puke all morning, and as soon as it was done, I said was that it?
I will definatley be taking good care of it, pajamas for a week and plenty of cleaning!
did it hurt. i can guess where u got it. they usually look good. my hubby would never allow me. but i do have tattoos. i have one across my lower back. very unique. i love showing it off. congrats!

YES! But only for about 2 or 3 seconds and then I couldn't even tell that I'd gotten anything done...now it's a little sore, but not terribly uncomfortable...I just suprised my boyfriend with it when he got out of class, I knew he liked them though and I've always liked a little sparkle :) ...I love tatoos also...but I don't get them as much because I feel like they're more permanent, but I guess holes don't always grow back either ;) I have a tattoo on my back too! I think they're really cute! I have a cute little one on my foot and that hurt way more than my most recent addition!
tattoos are addictive though. :) i started with one on my right shoulder blade. then i got a cute chinese symbol on my lower back like every one else was getting. then added tribal around it then wording on top. thinking of adding more. maybe something chinese down my spine. dont know yet. i keep procrastinating! lol. i do want to get the one on my shoulder covered up with something different... eventually. hope your healing goes quickly and effortlessly.
the nipple piercing didnt result in any strange side effects... but they heal VERY fast. three years after i got them i took them out for about 20 hours and they healed right up... and i said no way am i going through THAT again! but if you go to a reputable place that knows what they are doing, you shouldnt have any problems.
tattoos are addictive... and its funny because every time i want one i lay down on the table and as soon as the guy starts im like ow! what the hell am i doing? i hate this! but once its done i want another one... i have six and they are all HUGE... i get another one every time i move or am in somewhere different long enough (and clean enough) to get one...

Ouch Diana! Down your spine...good luck with that! I couldn't sit still for that :)
Thanks for the info...I've been thinking about getting them, the place that I've been going to is very good, well I have had onlky good experiences with them and on Thursdays they do buy one get one free piercings, but they have to be on the same person, so I figure I can go get them both done...I probably wouldn't make it back in to get a second one!
Tattoos are soooo addictive, I think any type of body modification is! I only have a couple right now, but there are 2 0r 3 more in the works!

I found that directly on the spine it doesnt hurt as much. but on either side it does. During my tattoo on my lower back, i actually fell asleep. the tattoo artist thought i had passed out and here i was bored and drooling in my sleep. lol.

Wow...you fell asleep, I've heard people say that they find them relaxing, but so sounds asleep that you were drooling? Lol, I bet that would have made a funny picture! I figured your spine would hurt since the skin is thin there...I know when I was getting mine on top of my foot I was in terrible pain, I was in a cold sweat the whole time! Needless to say I won't be getting anymore on my feet!
i am done with ink on my legs, personally. i got one on my upper thigh that goes onto my belly... the belly and the crease didnt hurt nearly as bad as i thought it would, but i wanted to punch the guy every time he came near my inner or outer thigh... or really anywhere on it! oh it was miserable... some people say that didnt hurt them at all... i had about 12 hours to sit through on it (different sessions) and each time it was "well, it looks silly not filled in, so i HAVE to go back" or something like that...
and then of course a year later im off getting another one on my back (where i think i am up to five). diana is right... the spine was a killer. i dont know if it was the spot on the spine or right to the side, i just know i was getting twitches! shoulders werent bad until he got to the very tops or the very bottoms...
next one on the arm and then i am DONE (well except for background... and... you know... maybe one or two more...)
When you were describing that i could feel it all over again. especially when the needle would hit that one spot where it would make your leg involuntarily jump. oh man. and to think i need to get it blackened in over again. eventually. lol. maybe get an anklette. not sure yet.

You guys are making me not want to get anymore! The pain terrible sometimes...but you just keep going back...
Once they start, your kinda stuck going back in...I actually know someone who got the outline done and never went back to get it filled in...it looks kinda silly like that...and everyone knows you chickened out ;)
My husband has this HUGE piece on his back. he is procrastinating going and getting it done. it is a tribal type. he was in so much pain he have up. lol.

haaa I got both of mine done about 3 1/2 years ago and LOVED them ever since. Just make sure you dont wear rings with too small a curvature because the flesh could push the piercing out. The best thing to wear is barbells. But ya they make things soooo much more sensitive. Take good care of them and you'll love them forever!!
