Hi there, I have been off this forum for a while. I was on WU and SP but went off them a while back.
I was so pleased and happy with Tiger Lilly's success that I decided to really focus on my Chi Massage, and really understanding the pressure points. And I now just massage when I can, and when I have a relaxed moment, like in the bath. If I'm having a hot drink and I'm alone at home, my hands are nice and warm and I simply have a good massage. So I can massage up to 4 times a day, it has become so natural now and apart of my day I don't even give it much thought.
I think for me it has been important to really focus on my mental state and be very relaxed about all this, so perhaps alot of kickstarting growth has alot to do with our mental state. I have also stopped smoking the two a day I used to have. I have cut down on caffeine. I have bought loads of soya products from the chinese supermarket, and chicken feet, soya drinks, soya puddings, loads of different beans etc. I'll probably start back on the SP again cause it was definatly working for me, it makes me feel like a horny teenager though. Anyways I'll let you know how I get on this time.
Hi Jacka!
I'm also on massage and diet only for about half a year. I decided to give it a chance without herbs since i'm seeing results, though it's going very slow. But sometimes I do take some herbs, I just don't do the pill thing. Once in a while I drink fennel tea, nettle tea (though there are leaves in it, not root) and barley tea, I eat curry with fenugreek and cumin and soya. Not to mention all the boobie foods. I don't really have a routine with taking the same food on a daily basis. I'm planning to eat chicken feet every day though. The last two days I had it and i think it's working. I massage twice a day.
About the pressure points, the one under my nipple used to hurt a lot. I kept on pressing it and the pain is gone now and I can see fulness there and it's 'meatier'!!
I think the food and massage thing could be a long (but steady) process: Tiger Lily's routine took one year and 3 months. So we just need to be patient and consistent :)
Thanks for the response, we'll have to exchange recipes then. I use alot of whole spices too, and the fenugreek I add to the food I cook is dried fenugreek leaves. I add whole fennel seeds too. When I cook the chicken feet, I'd say it's more like a curry because I use masalas and chilli, cumin, star aniseed, cardamon, garlic, ginger etc.but I do add the 12cups water, and loads of different beans for the protein.
Thanks for the vote of confidence about me quiting smoking, I do hope I can keep it up this time!
About the pain, well yes I have experienced that too, in the same place, but then growing has always been a painful process. I remember getting growth pains in my legs as a child. Well I am going to go and have some chicken feet stew now, just need to keep telling myself they are chicken feet, not pixie fingers!
Well if you've ever eaten chicken feet and you have an overactive imagination, you'd know exactly what I mean!
They are unfortunatly very finger-like, but these days I tend to add noodles and not pay much attention to what my food looks like, pity there are so many bones!
Glad to see this forum is moving forward though as far as diet is concerned, I was reading something on here about Goji berries, must try them or add them to my chicken feet brews.
My mom makes a stew with chicken feet. she adds rice to it. it tastes really good. but i stay AWAY from the feet. eww. this may be stupid question but do you eat the feet?
You are supposed to eat the feet, I can never eat all of them, the toes are ok, when the nail is off, sorry, can't help pulling faces and laughing to myself while I type this. I really never thought I would ever go to the extreme of eating chicken feet. I have concluded though that although there is a high fat content in the broth/stew, it is not a dense fat, there seems to be more gelatine, I reckon it is this very gelatenous content that builds growth, that is why Tiger Lily stressed, trying to eat the feet. There are worse things that one can eat, and I definatly don't plan on eating them for the rest of my life. Anyway I will have to start doing some push-ups and situps, Tigerlily was doing 20 push-ups before massage. I'm adding an electric massager to my NBE as soon as it arrives, but my main thing is the chi massage at least twice a day.
Hi Ann,
I bought it in a japanese supermarket (i'm in europe), i came across it by accident.
I googled the brand and found this website which sells it. they are located in london and i think they ship to everywhere. haven't bought anything from them though, prefer buying things in shops because i live in a dorm.
Why not just drink Barley Cup, so far as I know you get it in most supermarkets.
And you can add so many things to soya milk, to make delicious drinks.
Diana, thanks for the tip about the rice, it is quite nice to add to the chicken feet broth, it just makes the whole consistency a bit more palatable and tastier. Is anyone else doing the chicken feet thing?
I actually quite like eating chicken feet! Especially at Yum cha (chinese brunch) - I think its the sauce they put that makes it so nice. At the moment I have pretty bad eating habits so I don't think I can stick to eating it everyday, also they don't always have it in the chinese shops.
Heres a recipe you might be interested in
3 lb. chicken feet, scaled
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
2 tbsp. cayenne pepper
Put chicken feet in water, let cook until done. Add rice, chopped pepper and cayenne pepper. Let cook until rice is done.
I found another recipe online to make the chicken feet tasty, but I think its quite a bit of work:
glad the rice makes it more palatable. i do remember on cold days my mom making up this and i would steer clear of the feet and cilantro she would put in it. really good with a little cumin. maybe i should have eaten it more. both my mom and sis would eat it and they both have d's. ugh. it never would have crossed my mind. then again i was such a picky eater i doubt it would have made difference. :) army cured me of that. i could sure use some biscuits and gravy from the dining facility! :)
Diana, what nationality are you, I'm just curious, you know about your social backround? Sounds interesting, your mom and sis eating chicken feet and you going to army. I'm guessing that you are American maybe, but not in a traditional sense, if that makes any sense. And to everyone else, well I'm afraid to say that I haven't been able to keep up with eating chicken feet everyday...but every week at least I will. But i make up for it with other proteins, and fairly high fat foods. An egg in the morning is a good idea.
The feet aren't so bad really, I'll get used to them. When I first came to england and saw black pudding, and when I found out what it was, I pulled a face, I like it now, but it has to be from a good source and made properly.
