If you're like me and you have a crazy metabolism that breaks everything down, your body is going to have a hard time absorbing herbs. Ever since I was born I've had this problem: nothing I consumed was properly absorbed. When I was a child, I would have to take folic acids to help me out. Folic acids slow down your metabolism and let your body absorb what you've put into it. I had forgotten that I used to take these (my doctors insisted to my parents to give me them), so if I have the money, maybe I'll buy some.
A warning though: they don't help with weight loss at all. They'll make you gain weight (this is what I used to take them for). It's not like you'll gain twenty or thirty pounds, but you might gain around seven or ten.
folic acid helps with cell growth... a lovely bonus! so yes, the same folic acid they advise pregnant women to take, because it helps build the cells of the baby and it helps the mom to retain the nutrients to pass on to the baby...

Thank you so much for pointing this out, I am struggling to gain weight and this sounds like it may help, so I will definitely buy it tomorrow, and if it helps my boobs along that is even better!!!
