And found out that you are estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone dominant or sufficient and had it to help you any with BE. I fit under all three categories with a lot of my symptoms and it is impossible for me to tell which one I have unless I do a test. Anyone else confused about their hormone levels. I have not had any success with NBE and I really believe it has something to do with my hormones istead of genetics because my mom is a DD I here I am a AA.

I don't know if I have a hormone imbalance if any either. When I took the online thingy, it was so vague and I had certain symptoms from several categories.
I would like to be tested for real, but do no know how to go about that, plus Idont' have enough money right now. =(

I would recommend ordering an online salivarly test. They are supossed to be more accurate than the tests your regular family doctor can give you. I plan on ordering some after I save up enough money too. I am tired of spending so much money on products that don't work. If we can get to the root of our problem with not getting results, then we will know what to take without wasting our money!

There are online companies that offer extensive hormone testing through the mail. It's a salivary test, meaning they'll send you a tube for the sample and you collect it on a certain day of your cycle (usually Day 19-21). I had this done a few months ago and am still waiting on my results, so I won't recommend the company I used (Unikey). There are many others, though, and most I've seen test for six hormones, the ones you mentioned included. I was an idiot and bought an overpriced version, but many cost significantly less than getting it done through an MD or ND's lab, at least in my area. They also come with a complete explanation of where you stand, what that means in practical terms, and steps/products you can try to improve your health. As far as BE, I think this would be very useful in tweaking a program because you wouldn't have to guess about what you're lacking, etc.

I guess I would say I had my hormones tested as I mentioned in my "Hormones" post.
I was "allergic" to my hormones, so they wreaked havoc for me, and I feel that was the reason I didn't fully develop breasts as a young girl.

Anyone else with experience on this? Is this kind of thing to be trusted?
And another thought - don't you guy think that if you had your hormones tested while on NBE, the results might be very different from what your state is without herbs?

I agree with Moon. Your hormone levels on the herbs are not going to be the same as they would be normally. Best bet would be to do a before and after.

I didn't link to the test I took most recently because their customer service is awful. I've done these in the past, think I used ZRT Labs the first time. Most don't test in house but rather send it out to a larger lab that's used by medical professionals. Some use the same facility and criteria as my ND's office. Her tests always very accurate but very expensive.

Before I do the hormone testing for a month to get the herbs out of my system. Then I will do the salivarly test and after about a month or two of taking the herbs I will hopefully order another one to see how the herbs are reacting with me.

Hello my organic beauties! As a matter of fact I just had a follow-up visit with my Naturopath on Friday, and I got another saliva testing kit to take home. The kit and test panel I do, is for all the hormones. Estrogen, Progestin, Testosterone, Cortisol, DHEA, Adrenal. I last took a test about 4 months ago, and found out I was in extreme estrogen dominance. I'm curious to see where I'm at now. Unfortunately, my Naturopath is highly suspect that I'm still estrogen dominant, and severely so she thinks. If this is the case (I'll get results in about 10 days), I just may stop taking my BO, as my Naturopath will be prescribing some bio-hormones for me at this point. And if that happens, then I'll be going with plan "B", and that is a BRAVA or aftermarket version of the BRAVA.

Saliva testing for hormones, happens to be the preferred method over blood testing, due to it's much higher accuracy rate. The lab my Naturopath's office uses is ZRT. After I do my collection (which is several times within a specific time frame within one day), I have an express mailer with UPS. I have to take it to a drop-off site, and it's at the lab within 24 hrs. The results are then sent 7-10 business days later to my DR's office.

I just checked the labs website out, and it does appear that you can do the test kit without going to the DR. Here is the website if anyone is interested.

i got my hormones tested at the doctor last april and i had a kinda serious hormone imbalance, i had way too much testosterone and no where near enough estrogen, which caused me to completely cease my periods, only very rarely getting them for a day or two at the most.

its being corrected by the pill, but im not sure how that effects my booby growth :S
