Ok, I just checked out the website on how to calculate your bra size, and I am 33 around (underneath breasts) so I always buy a 34 B and it calculates me at a 38 b which I would swim in???? I don’t get it. Isn’t the measurement around the one you use for the number? Is it different in the US?
I know what you mean, it doesn't work for me either, I am 37.5 around, and I wear a 34-36 b very comfortably, and on the smallest clasp, so they are not too small and no fat hanging out. The cups are the right width, so that's not it either. If I followed the charts, I would wear a 42, and that's a big NOT.
But, I am trying to lose weight, when that happens maybe the charts will work for me, until then whatever is most comfortable and give me the best shape, that's what I wear.
I guess I'll just have to try them on. Another chart put me as a 34 FF ROFLOL if that was the case, I wouldn't be on this forum! Oh well. Maybe I am bigger than I thought I was, but I don't have more than a handful, and that wouldn't even be a C cup.
I believe that the formula takes your underbust measurement and adds five inches to determine the band, which would make you a 38. However, this has NEVER worked for me and is one of the reasons I don't get measured or go by the charts. I have a very, very wide ribcage.
The best way to determine your actual bra size is to go where they sell bras and they will measure you for free. The jockey outlet near me does it. Doesn't have to be anywhere fancy!
