Iv found this site that u can gain qualifications in holstic theropies,now i really think it will help me develop my herb knowlege further and it really interests me, i was just wondering if any of you reccognise the depolma/site, as i have no qualifications (other than a couple of gcse's) and i don't want to be duped into a micky mouse qualification.

hi ginger, i looked at that websites few days ago as well, because i was thinking of doing reflexology and to be honest it looks a bit dodgy to me, it's probably ok if you just want to gain some knowledge for a bit of home self-help but if you want to learn things a bit more in depth i think you can find better places. one of the things that i find strange is that they offer self study courses in things like reflexology, advanced reflexology, shiatsu and others which i think normally require some practical instructions. you can probably get as much knowledge by just reading books as from this cours. you can try doing an evening course if you find one near you, i think neal's yard remedies do this type of courses or they might at least be able to give you some advice, in case you want to study it more seriously. sorry if this is too long and good luck

Some one i know used the other site that i mentioned and she has this certificate, but i mean i could just make one myself if its not a real recognised qualification like a GNVQ or anything

hi giger, i don't actually know which qualifications in herbalism are recognised, what i meant is that the website seems dodgy cause all those therapeutic technics that it offers are very complex and giving someone qualification after few lessons that you complete at home is strange. but are you actually thining of becoming a herbalist?or do you just want to get more in depth knowledge for your own use?

Well Mark-like i say i have no qualifications and have spent about 5 years saying im going to learn somthing,and i have what i call Gerald Durrell syndrome (i can only learn about somthing that intersts me or is applyed to somthing im intersted in)
And as i am interested in herbalsim it seems a good way to begin id like to feel Brainy in somthing.
