Since the collagen posts are getting kind of long, I was wondering if those of you using it with success could post what the name of the brand/product is you are using, and where you bought it from.
I have used a jar of SBC collagen gel that I bought off QVC. I think I liked it, but I’m not convinced. I was wondering about trying something else, just to see.
I read somewhere that collagen molecules are too big to be absorbed in the skin. Some companies may say that they've made them smaller, but there can't be any proof.
Collagen does have too large molecules to be absorbed. It's like covering your skin with vaseline - It stays on the surface. Buying collagen products is a waste of money. I remember when collagen and elastine creams for the face was the latest think in cosmetics(I've worked with cosmetics for many years)and nowadays NO good quality creams contain it, simply because it is useless.
The modern "lift creams" work with the skins OWN collagen instead, to help increase the production.
Well im also using SBC collagen and it does absorbe-you can keep spreding it on and it keeps soaking in, i mean if it just sat on the skin id be wet or sticky but it doesnt feel like that
I love the stuff n just baught a 1000ml bottle after i used a small bottle in like a month.
over all at the moment im pleased i look plumper but i am also eating collagen pills, i do mix my final massage in with shea butter.
gingerd- I got the small bottle and tried it. I do like it, but just wondered what other products were out there that people liked. I would buy more of this again. It does seem to absorb VERY well and does plump things up. I use it between my regular massages. I don't take collagen internally, but do take gelatin.
JS-How do you find the geletine?i often think of adding it to my program
Yeh its amazing to me how much actually absorbs, i did look at other collagen creams etc but i liked the idea of the gel let me know if u change n if the new stuffs any good
ginger - The geletin I buy is a GNC brand from the GNC Store. It's called Geletin, and then underneath it says - natural source of collagen. I feel it helps.
It seems we had a big thread awhile back about collagen gel and the benefits, and people liked it. I'll have to search for it and read it again.
