if one is taking the maxium dosage of vitex 400mg and is taking two capsules of fenugreek 610mg and two capsues of saw palmetto 410mg is this too much along side the vitex is it better to take less of teh other herbs...???

Just out of interest, where does the information come from that the maximum dose of vitex agnus castus is 400mg?

My bottle suggests 3-6 capsules per day and thats at 400mgs per capsule. I am taking 2 caps. in morning and 2 caps. at night. I am suspicious of using other herbs with vitex,, simply because other herbs maybe interfering with vitex's ability to do whats its suppose to. Donq Quai,, may actually help vitex along,, cause it works on the same basis as vitex,, balance hormones. I also question heat while on vitex,, cause heat causes prolaction into the breast, while vitex drops prolacton levels,,,and this is the part that confuses me,, prolacton or not prolacton???

thanks for the response.... the maxium dosage is 400mg 2x twice a day thats what on my bottle which i got from holland and barrett...sorry if i wasnt clear so maybe i should think about cutting down teh other herbs i have been on it for 7 weeks now and cant say i have seen any progress yet but have a six month supply just need to be patient i guess....
