Ginger that is so wonderful thank you for posting that! Wouldn't it be awesome if we could figure out how to get an essential oil out of fenugreek, or saw palmetto, etc?? Because then they would be absorbed...

Also, I wonder if mixing the herbs with a base that has essential oils in it might do the trick. But dont' a lot of our lotions that we're using right now have essential oils in them? Right now I'm using Lotus Touch's Massage Cream and it has oils of calendula, sunflower, flax and olive in it. However I don't know if these are essential oils. I mix in the fenugreek in with this massage cream and perhaps if I mixed in an essential oil as well?

Great post Ginger. You summarized things very nicely. I always appreciate the research everyone is doing on the NBE topic. It can lead to interesting information and not just about NBE, but other health issues as well. Thanks for including the links to the sites. I have been trying to do that in what I post as well.

Some info 4 u:Fenugreek is rarely seen as an essential oil. Fenugreek CO2 is worth a try if you like to experiment.

Ah, I did think oils get absorbed, so that means they do contain fatty acids. And we can observe that ourselves - if you rub an oil or lotion on your skin, where does it go then if not into it?
On the cocoa butter controversy this doesn't change anything for the moment - as I understand it, according biochemical theory it's still impossible to get your boobs to deposit fats that easily as applying them locally.

Cheers for the info babes!

Yes oils do get absorbed through the skin. Like if you rub in say lavendar oil, you will be able to smell in on your breath a while afterwards.....so it must enter our systems.

Great stuff!

Love

Per these links, you can get Fennel, Fenugreek and Hops in essential oils (first link has all 3, 2nd link only has Fennel)!!! If essential oils go deep into the skin, wouldn't this maybe be a key in helping direct NBE efforts to the boobies? Instead of ingesting Fenugreek and having a large portion of it exiting to body without ever being utilized for NBE, wouldn't it be better to have something be absorbed right into the breasts so that it can be fully used for NBE? Or am I on the wrong track!??!?

GingerD - ok, according to some of the research posted on the General Ref. Page, we should be inhaling the essential oils instead of rubbing them on out skin - UGH! This is all such a mystery!

Hi surf-
Yeh, i find that abit strange, however i have seen machines for this on essential oil web sites-
I supose adding a few drops of essential oil and putting your head under a towel would work-i know some would be yuck but i can imagine some are really relaxing-But between massaging, popping pills, dieting , rubbing skin etc i find i may not have the time to inhale-LOL
