Does anyone have a copy of the flat2fab program they would be willing to share? I'd be interested to read about that program as well, but I don't really want to shell out anymore money at the moment.
The flat to fab book isn't bad for a brief on how your hormones work and what different herbs do regarding your hormones, HOWEVER her program is sorta dangerous. She tells you to use red clover, fenugreek, and saw palmetto at the same time. You can read many places on the web that red clover and SP are NOT suppose to be taken together! Also red clover and SP both interact with birth control even tho she says they don't. (I know from experience that they do cuz i tried her program)It's not fun trying to explain to your bf what "spotting" is, LOL!
I found this website after i bought the book, which was dissapointing because i wasted money on a book that is in desperate need of an update. In searching this forum you can find a lot more information on herbs and programs that will work better. This is espeically good if you're on birth control!
Another subject her book touches on is massage and her "booby batter" which is just the 360 chi rotations and massaging with wild yam in the morning then fenugreek at night. I believe you can find better massages through these forums and a lot better advice on massaging creams.
If you would like any more information on her book I can try to give you more, but I feel these forums do a better job at giving accurate info. :)
Yikes, I'm taking nettle root and red clover! Although, birth control isn't an issue for me because I've had a tubal ligation. What would sp (or I assume nettle root as well) and red clover together do that's harmful?
* In theory, saw palmetto may interfere with the effects of herbs that have estrogenlike properties, such as red clover or soy. Saw palmetto or PC-SPES may increase the risk of bleeding when taken with products such as Ginkgo biloba and garlic (Allium sativum). The tannins that may be present in saw palmetto may prevent the absorption of iron in the body. "

"If saw palmetto is used with other herbs that affect blood clotting, bleeding may occur. If you take any other herbal product, check with your pharmacist to see if it might affect blood clotting. Some of the most common herbal products that might inhibit blood clotting are:
Those are just some quick ones i looked up... i can't remember the sites i read before cuz it was awhile ago. But basically that they interfer with each other some sites said they may cancel each other out and then there's the whole bleeding thing which i wasn't too sure about...
I want to get tubal ligation, but i'm afraid of ectopic pregnancies. However, I know I don't want to stay on birth control any longer because after 5 years your risk for breast and cervical cancer increases by 50% and in 10 years it's said to double, which is really scary! but the only other birth control method as effective as the pill is that surgery... sigh being a women is complicated!
Thanks for the info Kitty! I don't know a whole lot about how our hormones work. I am slowly learning more as I read this forum, but sometimes it is confusing and a bit disjointed when you are jumping from thread to thread and people are disagreeing etc. It is hard to know who to listen to sometimes.
