Just wondering if anyone (most likely younger) who has taken individual herbs has noticed any development or difference in their hips? I have no hips at all (thanks to Crohn's disease) and I'm thinking of cutting down on herbs - keeping only a little fenugreek, the stinging nettle, borage oil, and adding in Vitex. I know I shouldn't change my program if it's working but I really don't want big boobs and no hips (having an A cup would leave it out of proportion). So unless the herbs are going to have an effect on them, I'm thinking it might be best to use the VItex to work with my real hormones and get my body to how its supposed to be. Maybe it will work?
I think I have noticed hip changes. I have always had narrow hips, and wanted bigger, so this isn't a bad thing for me! It took bearing five children to get the minimal amount I have! lol!
But, I cannot at this time tell you what is causing it...whether it is just weight gain...or actual change in the hips. Only time will tell, and I will keep you posted.
I was also taking Sp and PM...which are known for weight gain. I am not tring to lose weight right now, while I am trying to grow boobies, but I am on a restricted carb diet...but am not losing weight that I can tell.
So, like I said, I'll keep you posted...I would like to keep the hips too!!!
It seems that it would make sense since a girl going through puberty gets a more hour glass shape, it's probably because of the estrogen. But it worries me that if the herbs don't work, and it ruins my chances of naturally developing, then the vitex wont work for me. So I am debating whether I should quit most of the herbs and start the Vitex. Anyone who has noticed a difference with getting closer to an hour glass figure please let me know!
Since the size of your hips has a lot to do with your bone structure I would think that the herbs wouldn't have much of an effect on them, although your hormones have a lot to do with fat placement so they do somewhat get affected by BE...I have noticed a change in my hips but it has been because of weight gain, probably due to BE, about 5 pounds...
your post got me worried " But it worries me that if the herbs don't work, and it ruins my chances of naturally developing, then the vitex wont work for me." : why would you think that if the herbs don't work that you'll have ruined your chances of naturally developing? i remember reading somewhere that fenugreek causes your breast buds to 'come to maturity'-like after you've given birth........ and i have actually been thinking of that as well - could certain herbs actually ruin the chance of naturally enhancing your breasts?
That is what I have read on this forum - I do not have the information to back up why - I can do some more searching the forum, but yes, that is what I have read. That is the only thing that is worrying me about this. If I can grow breasts at the same time as getting a more figurely shape, then I am totally okay with it, as all I want is an A cup (I find smaller boobs more attractive and there is also less sagging when you are older). I just found another site about using herbs and bountiful breast as methods of NBE, and there are a lot of questions posted and one women will respond to your email then post up the question and answer to the page, so I just emailed about it to see what they have to say. I will let you know what she says, but I am also hoping others on this forum may have some answers as well.
I remember waxingmoon mentioning that peruvian Maca gave her some unwanted buttock cleveage. Check out her personal program page.
Also, I'm only taking vitex 1600mg. I have lost 1 inch from my hips/bum - and wasn't huge to begin with 35 inches at 5ft 9. Since I'm not eating any less/exercising, I suspected it was vitex, since it favours progesterone, which keeps fat off the hips and thighs. Could be something else of course.
I'm never sure if bigger hips means more fat on the bottom? If you lose fat from there, your hip measurement decreases? I don't have much on my hips, butt I have a bit of a bum.
Hope this helps - if I haven't got the wrong end of the stick.
For me the fat (if that is what it is...) has been placed up higher...more around the hips, not at the bottom of the buttocks...so my butt doesn't seem to be as flat any more...more perky instead. Wish it would fill in on the top half of me that way too, instead of always on the undersid of the breast.
Thanks
I wasn't sure if it was weight distribution or your hips might actually 'widen' a little (similar to how they do during pregnancy - only not nearly as much) but I just read "weight distribution". I'm mainly just looking to see if you can OR ANYONE HAS been able to acheive a more curvy figure while on individual herbs - since my hips never changed through my earlier teen years. My mom said she noticed that my hips seemed wider when she saw me in my jogging pants, but I personally haven't noticed a change. We took pics of me at 15 after I was diagnosed to see the difference my medication would be making on my body. I don't know if we still have them but I'm pretty sure my hips are just as sick, skinny and boney looking. :( I look malnourished in that area - my stomach is the only thing that looks healthy and fit and I can say thats the only thing Crohn's has done well for me - all those attacks have given me a nice flat stomach :).
SO WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK:
Slowly reduce doses of the program I am on now - continue with a low dose of Fenugreek, and continue with same dose of Stinging Nettle Root and Hops, then add in Vitex, or just stick with whats working for me now and hope that all these fake hormones are going to give me some hips while in the process of growing up top?
I have confidence that I will see results from both, but thinking that Vitex might be better as it's working with real hormones and getting everything back on balance - all I really need is a little kick start as my body is just thrown off due to the Crohn's stunting and delaying my growth.
