At least that's the theory anyway. The idea is that by analysing the site the search engine will learn what search results are mosat relevant to those using the site, so in theory using this search engine will provide better results for those using this site and searching on a related subject than any other search engine on the web.

I noticed the search option on the main menu. If it truly works to give better results for NBE than the general search engines, I think it would be really useful and a great addition to this site.

I don't know how well it will work either, but let's say that for our subject it should work at least as well as any other search engine and hopefully better (though it's learning process takes time).

I think it's started to work. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but in my opinion it's working. It's pretty clever if it knows our subject and can return better results for us than the main search engines.

I've noticed that the search engine is starting to get used quite a lot now. I know this because it records the searches queries which are made. I'm not sure if this information is useful to us, but it might say something about our subject or about this site or those that visit it. I might publish the list of queries anyway, as it might be of interest to some to see what subjects visitors here are seeking information on.
