I found this website yesterday, and I am very glad that it exists! So happy that so many people get results by herbs and stuff like that.. hope it will help me too..

I have been reading a lot, and will give fenugreek, fennel tea and massaging a try.. do you more "experienced" girls know if that will work? I live in sweden, and have been looking for the fenugreek at the health stores, but they dont have:( so I guess I just have to by from the internet..

And I've read much about girls taking protein drinks.. I am scared that it makes you gain weight?

Good luck to everyone!!

you can find a lot of protein drinks that are designed for people that actually want to lose weight. just go to a whole foods store and look around...you should find something good. protein mixes have virtually no carbs.

I really believe that fenugreek, fennel tea, and massaging will work. I think each one is a growth-booster, from my experience. As for me, I can't deal with fenugreek side effects, I get too lazy to make fennel tea after a few weeks, and I gave up trying to massage months ago because I get too busy to put a good effort into it. Yes, I guess that means I'm lazy.

I only have experience with Greenbush's fenugreek. I do know that their herbs seem fresher than any other's I've seen (that's in reference to fennel, wild yam, and saw palmetto.)

The side effects of fenugreek are: dizziness & hunger which feels like episodes of hypoglycemia, weight gain on the tummy, and a maple syrup/celery smell that oozes out of your pores. If you keep the dosage low, it is possible to avoid most of these side effects and still grow some. I'd play around with it. You might not have any issues at all. One thing I can say is that fenugreek seems to be the most significant growth herb.

That is very interesting that Buffeee talked about smelling like maple syrup. I just started the GreenBush enhancement kit and bustea this week and I keep hearing the comment that I smell like syrup. I couldn't figure it out.

What is concerning me, is that I have gained about 7 pounds in less that a week which is very surprising since I am young and slim. 7lb.s is a lot for me! Is this due to water retention? and if so what can I do about iT? I'm very new to NBE and could use all the advice I can get.

In regard to side effects with fenugreek, I have also gained weight on it, and very quickly at that. I did experience symptoms of low blood sugar (headaches, dizziness) back when I first started taking it, but those issues only lasted a week at most before my body adjusted. It now has no notable effect on how I feel physically or emotionally. I also found that herbs changed my menstrual cycle for the first few months, though that also passed with time.

As for the smell, it doesn't come through my skin if I take it internally but does have a distinct odor when used for massage. I don't know if I got a weird batch or what, but mine doesn't smell like maple syrup. It's more of a smoky scent, like cigars or clove cigarettes. Odd, I know. :)

While I haven't found fenugreek beneficial yet, everyone's different and others have. Also, protein shakes should not cause you to put on weight elsewhere if you get one that's free of sugar and account for any calories as part of your daily plan if need be. I use one made with stevia (though it's too sweet!) and it only has 110 calories per serving, which is pretty low considering all of the helpful amino acids it contains. Good luck!

...As for the smell of your Fenugreek smelling smoky, that is probably right. TO me it smells like I am rubbing soy sauce on. I'm taking capsules I'm using an extract that also contains Saw Palmetto and Wild Yam. I don't smell the maple syrup scent but everyone that comes near me says that I smell like Syrup or pancakes. I read some where on Greenbush's website about the herbs cab change your body scent, That must be what's happening to me...

...And as for the weight gain I e-mailed Greenbush and they wrote back rather quickly saying...

"Hi Annie,
These herbs aren't normally associated with weigh gain or
loss. Fenugreek is sometimes used in weight-loss formulas due to its
ability to balance blood sugar. So I am not sure why you would be
experiencing something such as this.
We do occasionally hear of someone getting a bloated feeling
from the herbs. It may be best to back off your doses and increase
more gradually if this is a problem.
Let us know how things are going as you continue with the
herbs and let me know if this continues to be a problem for you.

Thanks, Joel www.greenbush.net"

...So I might being taking too much to start off and need to slowly work my way up.

I'm glad that someone else knows what I mean about the smoky scent! Makes me feel less nuts. :) Soy sauce is a good way to describe it, too.

About gaining weight, I believe the thought there is that it goes to work on estrogen receptors elsewhere for some people, not just the breasts. I did find that starting off slowly is best. I started off on a fairly high dose and had to stop and work my way back up properly, which helped with any side effects, besides weight gain. That one stayed. Haven't had any bloating, though. I

Good luck!
