There seems to be an anonymous poster among us who does nothing but mock and belittle those with (what she/he deems silly) questions, particularly regarding potential health concerns. NO laughing matter. And can't even bother to identify themself with a bogus name. Chicken ****.

Eve, I've noticed that many other forums demand a login before being able to post. Anyone one can read and search the threads, but pic's and posting on threads is limited to those who bother to sign in.

Would it be possible to have this feature added to this forum? Then, if such malicious people really feel the need to add their nasty venom, we could at least see off the get go who it's coming from and disregard? I know it wouldn't stop the posting, but it would give us a head's up and perhaps bothering to log in would slow it down a bit. Just a suggestion.

I'll add the moderation feature for some of the other forums. It already exists for this one.

Yes, all anonymous posters are previewed, however I think it would be nice to insist that ALL posts have a login attached.....then there is a "name" to which one can actually respond. Dear anonymous is awefully vague.

Rudeness does seem to be tolerated here, only when it is rude it is then called voicing one's opinion. I had the same debate about the massage and coco butter thread about 6 weeks ago, and a certain person posting rude comments on someone else's info page. Good luck with this Kat but I am afraid you will not get any thank you your concern.

Hi.I think that putting obligatory log in won't solve the problem.on the BO forum,someone logged in as amused and was very unkind with her words.i don't know why people do such things.they should just leave us alone.If they won't say supportive things,it is better to say nothing at all.

I agree. This forum is suppose to be supportive, to share info and ideas and there is no reason or excuse to be mean, rude or to out shout anyone. If we can't get what we need here for our NBE journey's other resources are very limited. So it would be nice if this forum could stay strong and supportive of one another.

snowflake....i've noticed the same thing. rudeness and contentiousness do seem to be tolerated here and written off as "voicing one's opinion" or "freedom of speech." people seem to even like it when other people do it. i don't get it at all. it takes intelligence to get your opinion across in an objective and logical manner. the other route requires a tad bit less thought and tact, and is not very persuasive either. it has been a big turn-off to me here at times, but there is so much information here and there is support in spite of it, i try to ignore it. but you are most certainly right about it. i think people should be supportive and helpful. if you approached someone in the way some people approach some people on this board in person in the wrong section of town, you might get a hefty blow to the crown! i think a little utilization of the golden rule wouldn't hurt anyone. there are other ways of getting your opinion across that are not going to upset a person.

Is there a way to block her Ip number? I know there's a way to find out where they're logging in from, and I think you can block it on most messageboards... you could also find out who it is by matching the number to another on here and find if they have a login already.

Anyway I don't know if you can do all that with this type of board, but i've heard of moderator's doing that in the past on other boards.

Yes IP addresses of visitors here are recorded and yes they can be blocked, although so far I have only used this sanction once.

Is it possible to make it so that a person cannot post unless they are logged in? I have often wondered why it isn't set up this way.

Isn't it ok just to ignore people who say something we don't agree with who don't have a login and are anonymous? We've got better journies to spend our energy on, like growing gigantic boobies! :-)

I am deffinitely in favor of free speech and not censorship, but when it comes to a poster like the one described, this is a compleately different matter. I have not seen any of her/his posts tho, could the topic starter plase direct us at some? If I am imagining correctly, this is a person who isn't interested or doing NBE, but is only here to discourage people. Personally I would like to beat the crap out of such a person. That is exactly what happened to me when I first found this forum and told about it and NBE on another forum - a 'smartass' came laughing and lecturing how this was naieve, how NBE is impossible and stupid and a joke and how everoyne should just accept what they've been given cause there is no other opption. Because of people like this, incredibly many women remain misterable because of their breast size for their entire life or go into dangerous and costly surgery which they not rarely later regret.

i know i have run into a couple posts where people may just not have logged in where the information seems overly enthusiastic (sort of the opposite of what we are speaking of here) and thought it sounds like someone "could" be trying to push a partiular product. in the particular case i'm thinking of, the person wasn't and just didn't log in. but logging in helps people know who they are talking to and is extemely helpful. if you have a login and you aren't using it just so you can say something nasty, well...that i sort of lame. i've noticed people have done that too.

well i havent really noticed any thread of imeperticular,but i do get abit mifed with anon posts,although i occasionally 4get 2 log in but my piCture is there so u no it is me.
