1)does gaining muscle by weightlifting cause a womens testostrone levels to go higher?
2)Does extra estrogen in the body turn into testostrone and give acne?
Why do I get acne when I use estrogenic herbs. Does it depend on whether you have low, high or normal levels of estrogen to start with? Thanks girls. Best boobie wishes....

How old are you Melosh? You could still be finishing off the last stages of it.
Having acne does not always have to do with estrogen/testosterone hormones. It could be caused by fried foods you eat or perhaps too much oil and dirt collected in your pores, which then creates acne.
Do you wash your face twice a day? Do you change your pillow sheets every so often? Do you pick at your face? Do you eat enough vegetables/reduced processed food? Are you stressed or do you stress easily? Stress increases cortisol levels which cause acne. Do you get enough sleep? Are you drinking enough water?
These are all other factor to take into consideration.
As far as weight lifting goes. No, you shouldn't have raised testosterone because of that.
Thanks for posting the questions but it looks like not many people have knowledge in this area of hormones...?
Does anyone know if estrogen can be converted into testosterone? I have always thought it was the testosterone that is converted into estrogen in a womans body by an enzyme called aromatase. Am I wrong?
Also, I have done a lot of research on whether lifting weights increases testosterone and have found that it does slightly in men, but I have found no information on women. The only thing I can think of is that lifting weights promotes fat loss, and if a woman looses too much fat, her estrogen levels will drop too low, therefore promoting high testosterone.
Even in men, a small amount of testosterone is converted into estrogen. I do not believe it does the other way around.
My acne probably is from a number of things: diet (I wish I ate healthier), stress (which I do have a lot of frequently) and also my high testosterone levels, which I have finally found out I have for sure by my saliva hormone test.

Hi Kat
I asked these questions for Katrina. She`s lifting weights and I`ve always heard that gaining too much muscles causes higher levels of testostrone in women. My acne is under control thanks to vitex. I have no active pimples on my face or on my back right now, the old blemishes are healing slowly.
Katrina, stick with vitex for a little longer if you can for your acne problem.
I still didn`t figure out what I need to grow breasts. I have high testo levels for sure but don`t know about my estrogen levels. Don`t have insurance at the moment but will have it soon. Then I`ll go get my hormones tested. I`m asuming I have normal estrogen levels cause I don`t have pms. Also I guess estrogenic herbs push my normal estrogen levels to high levels and that gives me acne. Therefore I decided to supply my body with progestrone by using a progestrone cream. I found out that progestrone balances all other hormones and brings them to levels they were suppose to be. I`ll keep everyone updated. Love...
