NBE, Dr's and no results...disapointed

Well I feel like venting and this seems to be the only place of listeners that will understand. I am 38 done having children, a full B cup and an A cup so I am what I consider very lopsided since I finished nursing 7 months ago. Well I didn't really nurse I pumped so I could feed the twins at the same time and the hubby could help. I don't want to try suction for 2 reasons I can't afford them and I pumped for a year for my twins...glad to be free of it. I have a very bad self concept since I shrank back down. On top of me not being happy with myself, I now have an inverted nipple which I think is very unattractive and not sexy. I have been dabbling with NBE for 4 months now but only use topicals and some vitamin supplements due to the milk still drying up. Anyway I went to the OB and tried to talk to her about the soap I was using and my periods being off, and the inverted nipple. She pretty much ignored the inverted nipple and told me she wouldnt put phytoestogen soap on herself and that maybe I ought to think abouit a boob job. So I am pretty depressed about the NBE stuff. I feel like I have researched things pretty well but now I am doubting whether or not the soap is safe for me to use. Everyone gets down when they are not seeing results and it can be hard to stay positive...how does everyone keep on going when they are not having any luck?

i understand

Keke, listen. we all understand what you are going thur and very dissapointed. I don't want to put anything bad either in my body. I am going to send back the blossom soap, I went to my chiro/kineso who tested me for FP and it is not responding to my body. Also he looked at the ingredients and said the are good but they are adding nothing but preservitives and some were metals even. So he put me on MAMMARY PMG by Standard Process, inc I looked this up and you can get it from totalhealthvitamins.com it is 15.00 for 1 month and take 3per day. We are also testing my hormone levels with a hair analysis and when we figure out what is going on and fix it, then the supplement will work 3x better. So the point is I guess is that we can not do this on our own, I do believe we need some help. I would suggest getting a hormone test and go from their. He only charges 67.00 for this, check around your area and see what you can find. Where are you located and I can help you find it. Jackie

Don't let the dr get you down. of course he/she is going to tell you it doesn't work. they don't make money off of natural things. They'd much rather get a referal for prescribing us meds and recommending us to surgeons than to see us using something that doesn't earn them any money. Very few doctors recommend any kind of herbals.
Whenever I feel what I am doing isn't working I go and do more research and then either add something to it or switch to something else. Usually I add something. If it started out working but then quit you may just want to add something to give it a boost. Pretty much anything strong is going to screw with your cycle in the beginning.

I totally get what you mean. I've been doing this since nov 07, and have seen no results. I am considering getting breast implants instead, but am still nervous about the risks. altho, these herbs can't be safe for everyone, btw. maybe some people dont get any side effects, but i sure do notice a lot of side effects with no first effects [boob growth]!

anyway, my friend is getting hers done soon, and i might just go with her and do mine, too. we'll see.

Kekie,

I wont advise you to get a boob job or listen to that doctor, doctors will tell you that NBE doesnt work, but a lot of us here are proof that it works. When am down about NBE, I just focus on something else, or some other flattering feature about myself that I really like.

Keep ya head up girl.

I agree with Beth and Kieyah. Don't let your doctor get you down. Medical doctors will not usually tell you that herbs are far better than the drugs modern medicine has invented because these herbs are not patentable and so the drug companies and, consequently, the doctors can't make much money out of them. They caution people that these herbs may not be safe for us, but do you really believe that a boob job is way safer than herbs? Most of the herbs used for NBE are food! Fenugreek, for instance, is used as a spice and as flavoring for most maple syrups. Fennel, too, is used for cooking. Saw palmetto has been a source of food for American Indians in history. Do some research and you'll see that a boob job will only put your health at a greater risk, while the NBE herbs will be of some benefit to you aside from giving you boob growth. Also, many people who claim that NBE does not work just did not give it enough time. Since NBE mimics the natural processes your body underwent during puberty, your boobs are not going to grow overnight. I myself was almost ready to give up NBE three months after I started because I did not notice any growth at all. I stuck with it anyway and more than two years after my breasts went from a UK size 32A (the bra I bought locally was a size 34B as our bra sizes here in my country are smaller) to a UK size 32D. If you want more proof and inspiration, you may visit the photos page.

THAT IS SUCH CRAP!!!! fire your doctor! i can't believe that a doctor would tell you that! i think it's very smart that you're waiting for your milk to dry up. once it is all gone and dried up and whatnot, you'll be able to add herbs and you should see some growth, but remember that alot of women do see growth off herbs until4-6 months on the herbs with massage and boobie foods,

don't feel bad. just eat right don't stress out too much and in time everything should righten itself out.

i would reccomend seeing at least 2 more doctors to get another oppinion, and make sure that they discuss your inverted nipple with ouy, if it's important to you don't leave until you feel you have a well thought out and professional answer.

all the best to you! good luck!

Thanks ladies

June 19 2008, 9:45 PM

Thanks so much for the comments ladies. I have researched the inverted nipple and realize it can be common or a sign of something serious so I really need a doctor to listen and have a look to set my mind at ease. The one good thing this doctor is doing for me is testing my hormones. She already tested my thyroid and prolactin level and they were normal...yeah!

Four months is not so long. I've been here for over a year and even though I've had little progress, I am still very hopeful. I'm no pro but I think patience is very important for NBE.

Do not get breasts implant

June 20 2008, 7:28 AM

Kekie

I know how you feel, cos I feel the same sometimes, just keep it in mind about everyone body chemistry are different, some people see results faster but not the other (may be we are those slow respond ones), I know we will see result one day, we just have to be patience, we have to stick to it for at least 6 months, wait until your milk complete dried up, then start to take herbs, cheer up!

Doctors are not always right, many doctors don't believed in herbs and Chinese herbs, but many medicines are made of herbs and Chinese herbs, and they worked. Don't listen to your doctor, he/she full of crap, he/she shouldn't recommended you undergo surgery, it's no good to your health and it may put you at risk. Getting boob job doesn't guarantee you will get the result you wanted, some people have bad infection and some people rejected the implants then they have to get the implants removed, their boobs look 100 times worse than before surgery, if more serious it may cause death, so stay away from the surgery particularly you have babies to look after and you want to watch them grow.

I hope you feel better soon, love babe.

NBE, Dr's and no results...disappointed

June 23 2008, 1:22 AM

Of course a doctor will not recommend NBE, as there have not been enough studies to confirm whether it is safe or not, and a doctor can not ethically recommend usage of anything that is not studied....it is not just because they will not make money from it.

I have tried herbs....had temporary results it seems my body would get used to them, and my boyfriend said I smelled from them, and we all know that it does cause that-you sweat them out-breathe them out etc. Plus they made me very emotional-when I look back I am lucky he put up with me on the rollercoaster for a year or so of trying them.

I have been using Victoria Secret Breast Plumper lotion for the last couple months and I like it.
It hasn't made huge growth but it makes a difference -I have more cleavage and my boyfriend thinks they are bigger-I like this lotion, and feel it is probably safer than swallowing herbs.
My guy doesn't like me using the lotion either-he worries it is not any safer than herbs, he doesn't want me to hurt myself by using. I also drink a glass or two of soy milk almost every day. But I am a bit stubborn as I am always on a quest for more cleavage.

Wanttobecurvey- I responded to your post about the lotion on another thread.

BABE- I am stopping everything right now, the soap, the St Herb cream, massages...everything except the massage info that you gave me for the inverted nipple. I am going to see if that will make a difference. Thanks again for the info.
