am currently freaking out in a modest way because last night when i massaged my boobs, I felt something wet and when I squeezed my nipple there it was... what can only be colostrum!
To panic, or to not panic? I was certainly shocked....
This is what I've been doing...
Have finished WU now for a while as done a year and getting a but fed up with it. Wanting to start PM when my next cycle begins, any day now. Also SP 450mg 3x daily plus EPO 3 - 4000 mg daily and vits, plus massage.
The only change i have made is to use the PM spray (like katie's) twice a day for about the last couple of weeks.
Do you think this might be the cause of the pre-lactation? If so its strong stuff! i think I might decrease the usage until the colostrum goes away... what do you think?
Also, as a last question, based on what I've read of the hormonal fluctuations through one's cycle, I am tempted to do as BellaBB suggests and begin the Pm on day 7. It seems more logocal to me to put in the extra oestrogen at ta time when it is naturally rising, rather than on day 1 when it is falling to bring on menstruation.... what do you think?
By the way I read the last lactation thread so am up to speed with that... i guess my basisc q is, do you think its the spray and should I worry?
I don't get why people get so freaked out about lactating a little, I mean yeah it must be a bit inconvenient but it's harmless, no? Or maybe I'm ignorant about this cause I've never been pregnant and breastfed, if so someone please inform me, but I just don't get what's the big deal with a little colostrum, compared to other side effects of NBE like weight gain. Sorry not to discredit your feelings or anything, I just don't get the fuss. Anyway I guess that if you want it to stop you should stop the spray.
I contacted wonderup people before starting my program and they said there is no problem with the herbs and them causing a small amount of lactation and I tend to agree. I have read quite a few people saying they have colustrum after many years since breastfeeding while taking the herbs but no problems for the breasts themselves. I wouldn't be concerned. All the best Jojox
okie, this is old but who wants their husbands to be sucking a boob and get some leakage in the process? How do I try and be sure NOT to lactate during NBE? Ive decided to dodge galactos and use the other herbs when I get ready to add to my program.
like skip fenugreek & others
use hops, barley, ect.
sound ok??
Hope evegen doesnt cause lactation!Im swelling with something!!Growth???Milk(gah!!)??

It's probably the Goat's Rue in WU. It causes milk to produce in the breasts.

She says she's not using Wonderup anymore, so it can't be that.
surprised to see this post rising to the top of the pile again but seing as I started it, thought I'd throw in my thoughts again...
Haven't takne wonderup for probably 8 or 9 months, now take PM and this month SP too, with the Pm spray and guess what.... still can squeeze a bit of colostrum out of right boob.
It's not that bad and i think learning not to keep checking is quite important as it probably stimulates it more.
I forget about it most of the time now, its not a big deal and nothing like full blown lactation.
Whew! great news, glad to hear it from someone with the experience, so nobodys been spraying milk in a hot shower or anything? Thanks for the update. Wont worry about it so much.
