Hot Flushes

Hello,

I'm just going into the menopause and I'm plagued by hot flushes, I've tried sage, Macca and phyto soya capsules but I have no relief. Its getting me down, the heat is terrible, no sweats as of yet though. I was thinking of taking PM but I don't want to encourage my periods back.
Any ideas what else I could try before I resign to HRT? Maybe I'm not giving the above remedies enough time to work. I've been taking the phyto soya for three months now.
Thanks

Hi Laura,

I mentioned some things in the other post, but I thought I would mention my favorite author Dr. John Lee and his great book "What your doctor may not tell you about premenopause" - he also has one about menopause itself. What a great resource of information for any of us going through the 'change'.

Best wishes,

Hi Waxingmoon,

I have both books and I never knew bedtime reading would be so interesting....lol I flicked through the premenopause book and Its excellent knowledge although I don't know where to begin. I think I better go back to the chapters and read it properly. I agree both books are really excellent.
I need to do something because these hot flushes are beginning to really get me down. I never knew the heat would be so bad. I will post on any progress.
Thanks for your reply.

Best wishes,
Laura

This stuff stopped my hot flushes in their tracks!! It does have Black Cohosh in it, so not a long term solution, but it's remarkably effective. I took it for just over 6 months I think, and now several months off it I'm fine and they haven't returned - maybe only a few light flushes just prior to AF. The tablets are for day and night - the night ones really help your sleep and cut out the night sweats and the day ones give you so much more energy + better mood. It's also sold as Meno-herb in different packaging and it's by Wagner/Nutralife - a reputable company from NZ.

Hope this helps!!
