Brand of Goat's Rue

I increased my Fenugreek in my program about a week ago, and the acne on my back has gotten way worse! I don't know if it's my body releasing built up toxins, if I have created a hormonal imbalance, or if it means my NBE is working. It's really getting me down, it's BAD and it's disgusting. Well, since I increased fenugreek, I am thinking that may be the culprit and am going to switch to goat's rue to see how that works for me. I have looked online, and it's much more expensive than fenugreek, which is ok with me. But what brand has worked for you ladies in the past? All my other herbs are either Nature's Way, Now, or Eclectic Institute and I can't find it in any of those brands. Any help would be great. Thanks!

hi, you can get it powdered from viable herbal solutions at a pretty good price (online). You can make your own capsules or mix into yogurt or something. I found both fenugreek and goat's rue seemed to give me acne, but it could have been something else too, not sure. Anyway, good luck -

HerbPharm is a good brand. Only thing is, it tastes like YUK YUK...so I mixed it with a little OJ and it is ok. I also took Ladys mantle ,and did the same. Good luck

Motherlove makes capsules with liquid extract. I have been using it for 4 months (I too switched from fenugreek) and I can't say if it is making a difference for me. I do not look as full as when on fenugreek.

Thanks for the suggestions ladies! Nimf, why did you switch from fenugreek to goat's rue if I may ask? Did you have acne as well? It really sucks because my breasts feel fuller, and I believe it's working for me and I don't really want to switch. But I don't have just a couple pimples, I have probably 30 pimples on my back including white heads, blackheads, and painful cysts. After increasing fenugreek, it seems to have gotten worse so I want to try goat's rue. My face has broken out a little as well since the increase, especially around the jawline and hair line. I can't stand it!

Hmm. I switched to goat's rue because I missed my natural smell. I live in a rainforest and I don't like to wear deoderant. I smelled like... fenugreek. Goat's rue does not make me smell.

I take good care of my skin and it is quite moist and glowy and I only have a pimple or two usually. From mid november 08-december my skin was ATROCIOUS. My entire forehead was broken out in real cystic acne. I switched began decreasing my fenugreek and switched to goat's rue just as it all was starting. I was also in a terrrrible place (if you read my program page) so I really could not tell you what the hell caused my acne. I was depressed and stressed, switched herbs and was taking twice as much borage oil as I am now.

I know it's hard to be sure, but my gut feeling says it was not the herbs. I think I was taking too much borage oil for my skin type and the stress I was under made my skin go nuts.

Best to you!
