Sorry if this has been asked before..

Why is it that as soon as your period arrives all pain/tenderness is gone? My boobs were so painful for the weeks inbetween, then my period started and bang its all gone.Is the pain going due to my period or the fact ive stopped taking BCP for 7 days? Im not too good with all the technical stuff so if anyone knows it would be interesting :)

Thanks

It's because the time of period is the part of the cycle when hormones are natually the lowest.

thanks for your reply moon, does that mean that we won't grow while we're on our period? if so would i get better progress by staying on the pill and not having a period?

Moon, is there a connection to what you stated, about hormones being lowest during menstruation, to why it is recommended not to take herbs during your cycle? I know it is usually not recommended but I don't think I understand the logic and science behind why one should not do this. If anything, I would think it's more important to not take them during the other phases of the menstrual cycle.

Sorry for the late reply ladies, I've been busy studying for an exam.

Anyway, I think it's hard to talk about growth in such short intervals of time as the ~1 week that the period lasts. But considering signs increase in the lutheal phase, it seems that the this phase contributes more to growth than (the beginning of) the folicular pase. But we can only theorise about this, to actually observe and judge growth we usually need to look over a period of a few months. But with PM for example it's the other way arround with the phases due to its particular properties and use.

I don't quite understand you question Justpeachy, do you mean the recomendation is not to take herbs during the period or during the time when we don't have our period? I must say I've never heard either being recomended, except with PM which is another story.

Moon, my question was why is it recommended not to take nbe herbs during menstruation. I thought the general consensus here was to stop during this time. This is not the case?
