Evening primrose in Progesterone cream. Good or bad?

I bought some natural progesterone cream which contains evening primrose. I'm reading on a few sites that women who are estrogen dominant shouldn't take evening primrose. So why is it an ingredient in my pc? Should I buy some more pc that doesn't contain evening primrose. I really don't want to make my imbalance any worse.

Hi Glamma,

I don't think that EPO is a problem for estrogen dominance. I don't believe it to be a strong phytoestrogen, which makes it ideal for estrogen dominance (it would link to estrogen receptors in your body and block them from more potent estrogen).

Also, the topical application would make it less likely to interfere in your system anyway.

I say you are fine with the cream you have purchased. Just be sure to use the PC cream on the appropriate days and the appropriate amount.

Best wishes,

Hey waxingmoon, I was hoping it would be you who would answer. Thanx so much, I feel at ease now.
