Would Like To Try NBE, but frightened of side effectsMarch 24 2009 at 7:23 PM | Suela2 (Login Suela2) SENIOR MEMBER |
| Hello everyone. I have battled some health problems for the past few years, some regarding my digestive issues and some with hypothyroid and unbalanced hormones. I have slowly been feeling healthier and I have managed to lose some weight so I've been thinking about trying NBE, but I really don't want to develope any more issues with my thyroid. And I kind of don't want to gain the weight back that I went through so much trouble to get rid of.
Does anyone have any recommendations for taking it slow or what program they feel is the safest?
And I can't eat soy. |

I think the "safest" NBE technique would be to start a program that is free of herbs, and instead focuses on healthy boobie promoting foods and a really great massage regime, and maybe some chest exercises like push-ups. Check out the program pages and look at Fengshui's. She is a great example of someone who got results. I think she did use some soy products but there are so many other good foods that you can use instead.
Good luck! |

Thank you, I will check out her program.
After giving this some thought, and reading Wahaika's suggestion of giving this the best shot since it's spring. I am thinking of trying the herbs and if I notice bad side effects I can just back off of them right away.
I kind of feel like this may be my only chance. I will be turning 40 this summer. |

Hi Suela,
Give it a lot of thought before you risk your balance with herbs. There are several methods that will not interfere with your hormones. Most of the common herbal programs will take those who are sensitive to it straight into estrogen dominance.
If you have found a balance to your health be very protective of that balance.
Check out massage and suction methods - these are the least risky to those who have a tenuous hormonal balance.
I use Noogleberry and it is working well for me. It is the only method so far that has not complicated my hormone situation. And by the way - 40? Pffft... I am pushing 47 myself you young whippersnapper... lol.
Best wishes,

(laughing), thanks for calling me a whipper snapper, I appreciate that! My kids love telling me what an old woman I am. Heh he.
So what is noogle berry?
Yes, I agree hormone balance can be a precious thing... I'm not sure I exactly am balanced, but I am feeling much better this last month. I've been taking 12.5 mg of Iodoral Iodine and have researched it quite a bit, read the book on Iodine and it is suppose to balance hormones. Even though I feel so much better, I've only been taking it a month so maybe I should be careful before gobbling up all kinds of estrogen promoting herbs and such.
I'll have to look into this noogleberry.
The kids will be home soon, but when I get a chance I'll have to look up your program page. |
