Does anyone else feel like they are honestly pregnant everytime before they get their period?? honestly???
my boobs swell and get sore as hell,
my pubic(lower tummy) area gets really hard and feels like its gonna explode,
its hard to run or sleep on tummy cuz it feels uncomfortable (both on tummy and breasts)
and get slight sensation of cramping tingling
you get crazy cravings for one specific food item
frequent urination
constipation(sorry)
almost makes you think there is a baby in there?
And then you finally get your period and it all goes away and you magically lose like 3-4 pounds??I get the heavy cramping for one day and then everything goes away. I even get some sort of stinging pain that lasts for ab out 15 seconds onthe heaviest day and it is followed by me finding some sort of white tissue piece aboutthe size of a slug(thats what it looks like) that is not bloody in itslef but covered with blood.
I may be disgusting some of you but I just wondering im not the only one.
I know your period is supposd to mimic pregnancy hormones and their effects etc but its crazy how much of an effect it has on me...
its constant.
I get my period and I get my cramps etc. then I go through a week of relaxation and everything is great! Im happy and not moody etc. etc.
after about two weeks i start getting the moodiness and extreme mood swings etc. fatigue, I dont feel like doing anything by the third week cuz everythng seems hopeless and by the time I figure out im not pregnant I get my period!
btw my periods have never been on the dot and have always varied but i was always told this was normal. In the past I used to skip a month but never more than that. In my 20's-present(23) my periods have been pretty regular in that I get them every month but not on the exact days..maybe a week late or early etc etc...and Im supposedly estrogen dominant!
grrrrr....I cant wait for my hormones results to come in
Aerie...when i was in my 20s & 30s my periods did weird things to me too. Talk about a cranky b*$#h! I used to thnk i was pregnant too until that moment the cramps began and i would go to the bathroom and THANK GOD there is was! Now im understand why my Mom referred to it as "My friend"!!!! There were many times i was very glad to see it! But now that I am in my 40s and had a surgery about 7 yrs ago where they went in & burned the lining of my uteris for endometriosis, my periods are very light and the PMS symptoms have lessened, with the exception of a couple hours of intense cramping. I still get very tired for about a week prior tho. My periods were never on a set schedule when i was youonger even when i was on the pill. Guess what i am trying to say here is that i feelyou girl!!!!! Hope the hormone tests come back and your Doc can help you get it straight. Have you tried the pill?
Lots of luck to you girl!

wow, you phases of your cycle sound like mine. I would feel great and then the second half of my cycle I wwould slowly get more depressed, tired, moody....period brought on cramps from hell with bleeding and clots to go with it....what a blast! I never felt that I was pregnant because, well, I've been pregnant twice and I actually felt much better during those times.
Anyways, it sounds like you have a big hormonal imbalance and wouldn't be suprised if you hormone test shows that. I had to get on birth control to take care of mine, not to mention the endometriosis. If it's really bad, talk to your doctor.
BTW, before BC I was estrogen dominant but with low estrogen and progesterone. When I'm pregnant, that's when I feel the most 'normal' hormonally....that's the reason for the birth control..to try to mimic that.
