      How about he use whichever damn protocol s/he likes? I would rather have burning red hot pins covered in cyanide shoved into my eyeballs than use Micro$oft's crap - their network or their software.

      If I were the op, I would uninstall that gateway for viruses immediately and install something like Gaim in its place.
