Ok everyone hates it when their computer gets infected with spyware/adware. Here is a guide I made for those whom do not know how to remove spyware/adware.

1. Detection

Peer to Peer programs such as Kazaa or Emule/donkey are notorios for spyware. You can try the alternative PtoP programs like

Kazaa Ressurection : Its kazaa without the crapware
http://www.filesharingplace.com/p2pclients.php

or

Shareza : Its kazaa/bittorrent/emule withour crapware

http://www.shareaza.com/

How do you know whether you are infected? Well if you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, a list of programs that are running in your background will appear. If there is an 'unknown' program in that list, most likely it is a spyware/adware

(Explorer/Systray) are legitimate programs.

Also, if you internet browser is filled with weird 'toolbars' or keeps going to sites you do not want it to go, then you most likely have spyware/adware.

2. Elimination

Here is a site that has many many Anti-Spyware tools

http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads31.html

**I personally recommend Spybot or AdAware**

Step 1:-

Go into safe mode:

Close all your programs and restart the computer in "Safe Mode". Or after the rebooting process has begun, hit the "F8" key when you head the beep. The process varies from computer to computer. In safe mode, the graphics look horrible, but it doesn't load programs that are not essential to windows (Ie: Spyware)

Step 2:-

Run the Spyware/Adware remover:

AntiSpyware tools work more effectively in Safe mode. For me, Spybot takes about 5 minutes to run.

**Sorry if my english is bad. I come from asia with >.<**
