I recently gotm some sort of crazy-go-nuts spyware on my computer, I can find the programe that runs it, and I cant delet it. Basicly what happens is when I go to any major web site (google, yahoo, and many more) I get a blue web page (That resembles the criticle eror blue window screen) and it tells me my comp may be infected with spyware blah blah blah, and than links me to its home page so I can buy there spyware blocjker. When I go to mager pages where this happens, The web adress changes to C:\WINDOWS\secure.html, So I checked my hard drive and sure enough there is a file called C:\WINDOWS\secure.html, I deleted it, but to no avale, it just comes right back. The bigest problem is that when I close any web site with C:\WINDOWS\secure.html I get a full page adult entertainment add (XXX) that I have to alt-f4 out of. Can any one help?

Thanks,
Christian S.

I guess I'd say run Ad-Aware and stop using IE

I would recommend using FireFox from now on, and see if Ad-Aware can remove that browser hijack.

start windows in safe mode

delete c:\windows\system32\system32.dll

delete c:\windows\secure.html

run in normal mode

execute regedit

search for system32.dll

delete all keys and values found

open c:\windows\hosts

delete all values

replace with :

127.0.0.0 localhost

run internet settings before IExplorer

change start page value from secure.html to blank page

execute IExplorer

and pray.....

**Got this off the net... just type "removing c:\windows\secure.html"**
