how to remove quicktime or anything else that starts up that you don't like

start-> run-> type in "msconfig" -> go to start up tab -> uncheck boxes of things you don't want starting up with windows


you don't NEED any of these things, only thing that would be good to always start up is your anti virus program, and maybe printer program, otherwise uncheck it!

if it keeps coming back checked


after you do the unchecking process do this next step

start-> run -> type regedit -> go to the top of the registery where it says my computer, click that then go up top click edit -> find -> type "msconfig" click find

when it finds the msconfig folder, open it up, go to "startupreg" and delete anything listed in the startupreg folder, don't delete this folder tho.

and don't make any other changes to your registery you will fuck up your computer system big time.

I've removed it in this fashion and it still comes back as soon as you play a quicktime file. Very frustrating.
