i would love to own a play away baby as all the photos i have seen up to now look great

Warren Play-Away runs on the forest and he's 18 this year so there are plenty of his sons and daughters around!!

I'm sure there will be play-away babies at the Beaulieu Road sales this year

He was running at Balmer Lawn, Brockenhurst last year. So I would suggest you get out there this year and have a look of the babies. If you see one you like, get the brand of the dam and do a bit of research. You should be able to find out who owns it then.

I'd certainly recommend him. Hope you get on well with your search!

I spoke to Jinny's owner today and she's doing well. I can't believe she'll be 5 this year.

You'll be suprised. When I started lunging Jinny, I put a canvesson on with the lunge rein and she took herself round in a circle! Quick learners.

Would definately love to go on a playaway baby(not babies anymore) ride in about 3 years though.

Jinny is coming over from the island for the breed show, I'll be very excited to see how she is going.

It was a sad sale but I was pregnant at the time. I was still riding Benji but riding two was a bit much!

She would be yes. 2002/3 he was running at Hale, 2004 he went a bit further over, towards Bramshaw/Telegraph.

well marsha was a june foal and turnin 5 this year, but her mum (mockbeggar orange) runs at telegraph ? so obviously orange must have gone to hale ? (if hale is anywhere near :S)

Amy, the areas of Hale and Telegraph aren't far from each other so it looks like Playaway and Mockbeggar Orange had a romantic liaison somewhere in that area. No wonder Ozzie and your pony look so similar!

I will print off a copy of your photograph and put it in Ozzie's family photograph album - it will be nice to have a picture of another half-sister.

You are much more advanced in your work with your pony than I am with Ozzie. He can't organise his legs or brain enough to even think of jumping him yet. He gets quite excited when he canters and tends to rush everything so we are concentrating on keeping him steady and focused at the moment. Also, it looks like you are much braver than me too!

Mandy have you got this one? she's Millersford Mulberry II by Playaway out of (I think) Millersford Mulberry I. Did belong to a friend but was sold on to Hemel Hempstead in Herts. Can't half jump!
