These have taken me about four days to post but these are photographs of my ponies. Merlin (Apple Merlin)will be 16 next month and by Sturtmoor Mr Darcy and his dam is Mockbeggar Crafty. Molly (Brockenhurst Bay Suprise)was a yearling and still with her dam and not weaned when I first saw her. I have included a photograph of her with her dam. I think one of the reasons she is so calm and accepting of anything I ask of her, is because was with her dam for so long . The other photograph of her was taken last summer at her first show.Amy (Oke Dene Amy), sire Oke Dene Lordy, dam Oke Dene Carole, was the opposite she was a frightened, nervous, scrap of a thing when she cam off the forest and was only three months old. Although I had not intended to buy her, I just could not leave her. She still is nervous and a bit stubborn but also very affectionate and loves cuddles.
Molly at her first show last summer
This is Amy at home.
This is Molly the first time I saw Molly, you can see how much she looks like her dam.
Great pics! Merlin is stunning! they all are I must admit! thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your comments. I do think Merlin is good looking too, although my OH does not agree at all.I am going to keep him for the rest of his life and I have been trying to put his life history together, that's why I asked about his sire, but thanks to the replies to my other post, I think I will be able to find out about him. I was wondering whether Merlin is a bit old to show, as he is a veteran. He does love going to shows and loves jumping but I am getting a bit old for that but wondered if we could do some ridden classes.
There are normally veteran classes and I'm sure he'd enjoy them! And do well
Not sure on your local shows but well worth considering.

Merlin will be fine going to shows if he is fit and healthy - he is only 16 that is not old for a forester I have heard of them going strong will well into their 30's!
16 is a mere youngster, Briar is 18 and still going like a seven yr old!! If he stays up fit I am planning..just planning mind you for his last point to point this boxing day, have asked the vet, and he says he,d be fine, not so sure about me though!! So just really enjoy your boy, hes lovely, dont start slowing him down yet if hes healthy. Your others are lovely too! Lovely one with her Mum, they are much more settled with a longer weaning are'nt they.:0) xx

Thank you for the support, he would happily showjump but I was beginning to feel a bit too old but you have encouraged me too. I think we might even have a go at some Mountain and Moorland classes too. I really think Molly has benefitted from her late weaning, it's almost as if she expects the world to be a safe place and wants to experience it whereas Amy, who was weaned at three months, needs to be convinced all the time that it is safe.
