Show report with pics!!!

Had a brilliant day yesterday! Bramble went to her first show in three years and did really well, her classes were massive with brilliant quality competition yet we still managed some very respectable 6ths in the inhand M&M and inhand condition. She also managed two clear rounds, one with me and the other with my very brave friend (came down from wales for the weekend) (she'd never sat on her before!) Professional pics first

All round a brilliant day, lots of fun and Bramble behaved really well, couldn't ask for more.

Unfortunatly my friend's pony was playing up being loaded and took 3 1/2hrs to load a total nightmare, to Bramble's credit she coped with it really well and was very very patient.

I would really appreciate any suggestions you have with regards to our turnout/show etc

Also do you know what the expected rule is when you wear riding gear for showing in hand is it long boots or short boots for a 14hh New Forest? Is she supposed to be ridden in long or short boots?

She looks lovely, had you got your stirrups twisted? As observation only I would like to see your saddle a little further back and some nice coloured elastic instead of that horrid orange stuff. In hand personally I would prefer trousers and short boots but if you were riding anyway it does'nt matter, short or long boots for a 14hh? Either is acceptable more often short boots worn by juniors under 16. Could'nt be sure but was your white halter on the right way around. Glad you had a nice day on your well turned out pony.

oops you spotted my blunders my friends pony took ages to load so only had 10mins before my first class and in the rush had no time to look for black sting (found for the next class) and I popped her halter on backwards. I'm not sure about the stirrup leathers.

I had a brilliant day and she was really good she has a new saddle on order as that one is not the best fit for her and I will hopefully be able to be there on time in the future as will not attend with that friend again as it was 5hrs over the day wasted on loading. What colour trousers would be best for inhand with her?

She looks lovely, well done

As for trousers, the rule is dark legs, light trousers and light legs, dark trousers so I guess either would probably be okay, butas she has one white sock, i would probably go for black personally!!

Echo what Chele says about boots though, if you are ONLY doing in hand classes then short boots and trousers but if doing ridden too and you cant keep changing your outfit, then either short of long boots as she is not a little pony and the rider doesnt look really young or small
