This morning before I put Florrie out, I decided to take some pictures of her. I'd like to send copies of pictures to her breeder and let him know where she is and how she is getting on.

I thought I would put the pics on here to see what you all think of her.

She is 2 years and 7 months old , forest bred by Bakeburn Jethro.

I still need to do a bit of work teaching her to stand up properly in hand but this is only the second time she has ever worn her in hand bridle.

Hi Suzi I think she is lovely, I have a real soft spot for black ones, our NF is also black.

Suzie that is one very nice pony - I presume you intend to show her! I vaguely recall you saying you were in Scotland? Hope so, as thats a loooooong way away from us down in the Forest - I think she'd be rather hot competition!

I'm just home from working night shift and I thought I'd come on here for a quick look. Thanks for the replies .
When I bought her , she was in a cattle shed with 9 other New Forest fillies and 5 Welsh filies. The other foresters were light bays , pale chestnuts, greys and 1 bright bay. I chose her because she stood out above the others colour wise , as she will have to do in a show class full of Connemaras. I liked her type , colour and temperament as I watched her interact with the other ponies , none of which had ever been handled.I liked the bright bay too , but she had a short thick neck and was very pushy with the others. She was also constantly trying to nip and grab hold of our clothing as we stood watching them. That's how I ended up with a black pony.
Hi Tina . Yes , I am in Scotland , just outside Edinburgh. I plan to show my pony next summer. I will only take her to a few shows though as she gets bored easily. She will definitely be entered for the Royal Highland Show in June and possibly 2 or 3 other shows.
After that she will have some time in the field , just "being a pony" , before I back her at the end of the summer.
I would also like to breed from her in the future , but not before she has been out to some showing ( in hand and ridden), dressage and jumping shows. I'm looking forward to the dressage as she has very nice paces .
I'm off to bed now for some sleep but will come on again later in the day.

Wow!!! she's a stunner, really nicely put together and she has a beautiful head.

Shes gonna be a knockout when you show her, recon shes going to do really well.
