OK, fair play, its your first attempt at posting a pic so full marks there happy.gif, but you are now required to go out armed with camera tomorrow and take proper pics! wink.gif

And welcome to both the forum and New Forest Ponies ( is there any other kind? wink.gif) happy.gif

I'm sure she is, her sire was a nice chap, so I will eagerly await your senile efforts wink.gif. I know what thats like, being a complete technophobe myself, but if I can do it anyone can - you'll soon get it sussed and be entertaining us with lots of new piccies happy.gif By the way, although her dam is unregistered, does her passport give any breeding for her? I agree with Claire, she is almost certainly forest bred as her sire ran out and Raymond doesn't generally go in for 'stud bred' unless by accident happy.gif

Well done for starting with Foresters, they are the best all round ponies you will find. Yours is almost certainly forest bred, which is good as they tend to be stronger. Wellcome to the forum, or madhouse which it sometimes is, but you can learn a lot from this site about all things Forest. We are all passionate about ponies,I have seven at home at the moment and a lot more still out on the forest.

Re-sizing pics

December 31 2008, 6:03 PM

If you just want them to display well on the forum, include a "width=500" (or less!) in with your image tagline. Doesn't matter whether it goes before or after the src= bit. Make sure if you're setting a specific width that you don't set a height as well, or the pic will distort.

No don't do that, because it takes longer to load bigger photos and not everybody has broadband.

When you resized your photo, I don't know what software you used, but there should have been a box to tick to 'maintain aspect ratio'. That's what stops the distortion.

I also note that you uploaded it into network54 (by pressing the 'insert image' button). While this works OK, the photo will be deleted after a week, so it's a better idea to use photobucket. And you can resize your photos in photobucket too happy.gif
