Hello all just thought I would post a pic of my new forest Alfie. Unfortunately he has navicular disease so we cant ride him. Hes 10 in april. I am thinking about getting another new forest but im abit apprehensive about it because Alfie is out first pony who was bought for my daughter and wouldn't want another horse with the probs he has....knowing my luck lighting would strike twice. But I am very tempted to get another and if I did new forests are beautiful ponies and would be my choice. Mel

Alfie is gorgeous Mel. What a shame about navicular. I'm pretty sure it's not common amongst Foresters - it's probably just back luck and very sad for your and your family that you can't use Alfie as a riding pony.

He is absolutely lovely.

Thanks for lovely comments about our pony.. It is a shame that we cant ride him. He had navicular disease when we bought him I think and it took some tests to find out why he was lame all the time! We have owned him 1 year and 4 months. But even so we have learnt loads from him and hes happy with us. Hes still a naughty pony though lol.
