I found some pictures of my New Forest pony Sprattsdown Jetsam a few days ago and i thought i would post them up here along with some pics of what hes up to in warwickshire these days at the young age of 15 ... i thought those of you who know him might like to see what hes been up to over his life ... also i think he is a brilliant ambassador for the new forest breed ... check out the pictures yourself Xx

What a lovely boy. What is his breeding?

We have Sprattsdown Teddy Boy, out of Sprattsdown Marionetta, by Howen Bill of East Boldre (born 2000). Lovely chap, he can jump perfectly well when he wants to, but is on the idle side and prefers showing, which he's rather good at. He loves being told how handsome he is.

What lovely pics. Whereabouts in Warwickshire has he gone? That used to be my neck of the woods. Solihull Riding Club was where Benji spent his early competition days, well I use that term loosely!

Hes out of Sprattsdown Candlelight (Candy) she only ever had one other foal .. Blackwell Emperor ... and the sire is Trennly Tobias ... by the way my mum has Sprattsdown Jethro

Hes around Fenny compton / Knitecote ... so he rides out on the Burton Dasset hills ... if you know where that is?

Thats all the same pony ... he goes brown in the sun! ... hes only just 14 hands and although im perfectly alright to ride him i am too heavy to be jumping BSJa heights any more (also adults are supposed to compete on horses of 148cm upwards which really bugs me).. also i went to uni so thought i would rather he carry the good name of new forest ponies far and wide with good friends of my mums than be sat in the field doing not very much ... especially when he has so much to give and teach the kids hes with now

Ohhh, well have I met you too? Obviously I know your mum LOL Are you the daughter who rides a grey who comes to some events or is that your sister?

I know Burton Dassett hills well! We used to spend a lot of days up there when we lived in the Midlands. Brilliant terrain for getting them really balanced, really engaged, and really fit!
