Picked up my baby today. Longslade Pride. Almost 2 year old forest bred bay roan gelding. By Brookshill Royal out of Candle. He has been in a field since the October 07 sales, was a companion to a foal, bit of a poor relative and left to his own devices. I was a bit worried about travelling him but he boxed like a lamb. Hasnt been in the field yet but turned him out in the school for a buck and a roll. Came straight away when I called him and is now tucked up in his stable. He may well be the perfect pony!!!

Where are the piccies then. All new babies should be on NFED at the earliest opportunity --- please! He sounds gorgeous.

He was over the moon to go out with his new friends this morning. But waited very patiently to have his head collar taken off, great manners, fingers crossed he stays like that all through the terrible twos!

He looks a nice sort. Will look forward to seeing more pics and hearing how you're getting on with him.

Thank you. He has settled in so well. I will probably take him to a couple of local shows over the summer just to get him used to it. Really want to take everything slow, educate him well and end up with a good all rounder, a proper family pony with just a touch of class. He is 13.2 at the moment but is bum high, hoping for about 14 hands. Just love him!!!

That's what I like to hear. There's no need to rush things and I believe you get a better pony at the end of all the hard work.

Thanks Tina. Am very hopeful for him. There is a very small local show in May that I intend taking him to. Possibly just for a day out and walk round but if we get there and he seems up to it we may enter the M and M in hand class.
