I just wanted to post a message to say that I am a New Forset Pony fanatic too since buying Yewtree Highjack almost a year ago. He'll be 8 in May and he's made me fall head over heals in love with the breed.

He can be the cheekist, naughtiest pony ever but he can also be an absolute angel - it keeps things exciting!! The odd unexpected silly buck has been thrown whilst cantering on the common but he makes it fun - he's showing me how much he's enjoying himself!!

This spring we have started doing some low key competing (me being new to the show / competing side of things) and we're enjoying ourselves. We got 62% in our first dressage competition which I was extremely impressed with - maybe not the best marks in the record book but we enjoyed ourselves.

I am going to try and attach a pic of our dressage but not too sure if it will work!! NO CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT!! - but anyway - Let's hear it for the New Forest Ponies!!

It took me ages to work out posting pics as well. Its quite a long winded procedure to set up but well worth it. Click on "RULES HELP & FAQ'S" at the top of the page, thats how I worked it out! I got my first Forester 17 years ago, and still own and ride him. I now have another 2, aged and 2. I love the breed!

My NF is just how you described yours sometimes he can be a cheeky little man but most of the time he is a good cuddly pony. He so quiet and gentle.

I recently did my first dressage on him to. Anything over 50% is good in dressage so you did well.

My pony's mum is Yewtree Homeward so perhaps our ponies might be related.
