This was the little fella at a week old. Just before he came down with swollen hocks, indicitive of an infection. He stopped feeding and temp was 102 poor little mite. Is just finishing second course of antibiotics so its a big fingers crossed for him. His name is Brushwood Just Dandy.....cause he is gonna be!!!

And a couple of cute family shots...as you can see poor ol Briar has got big and fat through no riding lately. Poor big boy has had to take a back seat with little JD needing so much time.....but that will all change soon.

I am just holding my breath for a few days, as now will tell us if he is rid of the infection. One hock is still a bit puffy...dont know what I'll do, so just not thinking about it! He is looking so much better and stronger, I know he is still little compared to some of the lovely chuncky foals on the forest but the fact that he is improving has to be good? xx

He is so gorgeus. Hope he makes full recovery, he's going to be worth all the hard work, such a friendly loving temperament by the looks of it.
