Hello to everybody!
I have been coming onto this forum for advice for a while now and have really enjoyed looking through other people's stories about their NF's, so I thought I'd share my own!
My name is Sophie and I live in Cambridgeshire. I bought my first New Forest in February and he is called Blaze, by Bakeburn Jethro. When he first came he was terified of everybody and its taking a long time to bring him round, but every acheivement is absoloutly magic!
Here are some photos, the first 2 were taken in March -
These next 2 are from today, "I didn't just break through the electric tape.. honest!"
How big do you think he will get? mine is 3 and im hoping he will get to 14hh, i dont rig mine up in the winter as his coat is so thick, they look completely different in the winter but in the summer thay look stunning.
Well he's 13.1hh at the bottom now, so I'am hoping he will make 14 or above as he is only 13 months old and I have rather long legs! So really looking forward to seeing how he fills out over the summer months, and after being gelded he's becoming so friendly, I can touch him all over his body and face, but he's still a bit wary about legs and feet.

Hello Sophie, if he is standing at that height now, I would think there's a good chance he will make full up 14.2!

Lovely little chap and hope you have lots of fun with him Also pleased to welcome another from the Eastern regions I'm in Lincolnshire and have two NF's, a tb and a sensitive, Irish one, all girls The 12yo is a bay roan (by Randalls Fire) and the 3yo is a chestnut (by Woody Blue Mist), so distantly related. If you don't already know, NF's are addictive
Wow he's lovely! They both have really long backs don't they?! And I have to say I love the grey jacket and grey pony, thats given me an idea for me and my cob!
Oh dear, he is a good escapee... I didn't realise it ran in the family! Thats not good news, I've just bought a stable...
