Is it easy to do?

How long does it take?

How much does it cost?

Do I need to make sure my chosen prefix isn't used by any other society or just NFPBCS?

Sorry its all questions lol!!

Start by looking athttp://www.centralprefixregister.com/ Put in the name you want and it will show you whether or not someone already has it. You would then need to register your chosen affix with them and then apply to NFPBCS

Thank you!

If a prefix is accepted by CPR, will it automatically be excepted by NFPBCS?

Sorry about all the questions, but I've started thinking about prefixes I like and want to make sure I can use my final choice!!!

That I don't know, you would have to contact them but if the affix you want is available, I can't see any reason why they wouldn't accept it.

The NFPBCS have to approve the prefix even if it is available! So don't register it with the CPR first, just check there to make sure nobody already has the one you want.

You can download an application form from the CPR website but send it to the NFPBCS with the relevant fee (£35 if you're a member).

Possibly Cheryl, not really sure yet, other possibility is buy a broodmare, but then one of them would have ot go at weaning as we can only have 4 at our yard, and I don't really want to get into having ponies in 2 places again. ONly real definite is the prefix at the moment, so when James and I have decided we're prepared.
