This years Open Champion was Jane Cleal from Hampshire. Her gutsy little New Forest pony, Farriers Brown Bear, belied his size to take the honours ahead of some far longer legs!
I was just pleased to get round, said Jane. This is really big for him. Because hes small its difficult for us to get the time, so we just had to take really tight turns and thats difficult with these bigger fences as you cant risk catching anything on them.
Very well done Jane who travelled all the way to Derbyshire to tackle this 3' 3" XC course

Congratulations !
I'm especially proud to hear this great news as Bear is my pony's "uncle" ! (His sire , Bakeburn Brewen Bear is my pony's grandsire ).
