Has anyone else's foresters become really hairy?

My boy lives out 24/7, a few people have made comments about how fat my boys got but they have only seen him from a distance, i bought him down to the yard and they could see why they thought he was fat his coat is so thick and long it makes him look so different, he looks just like the wild foresters in the forest in winter, there's no way i need to rug him and if i did he would probably get to hot lol, his nick name now is the wooly monster happy.gif

My 3 year old QH gets a woolie mammouth coat, but I like it she reminds me of a huge fluffy teddy bear, but her dad gets no winter coat at all!!!!!

My two year old forester is exactly the same, his coat is huge but when you put your hands in it he's so warm and toasty!

My pony is on his 2nd clip of the year - he started getting hairy mid September.

He gets the most amazingly thick winter coat and and before he was clipped was sweating round his armpits just walking from the field to the yard.

He lives out 24/7 and seems to get hairier and hotter each year - maybe he is preparing for the ice age. I think perhaps he is part warewolf part new forest!

I weightaped him before and after he was clipped and he seemed to have lost 6 kilos but it was all fur!
