I have a rosy boa, a california king snake, a couple of gophers, and i just released a red coachwhip that we had for several months (got too cold to catch lizards for him to eat). All of them wild caught legally with a license, and hand tamed. The only snakes I shoot are the rattlers, as they are a threat in my hunting area. Natural selection has decreased the number of snakes that use their rattle drastically. Now they strike first, and ask questions later.
